Very disappointing. I have been here several times in the past, and the decline in service has been noticeable. Food is mediocre. Service is nonexistent. The staff just doesn’t seem to care. A huge letdown. This used to be one of my favorite places.

Darren, Brad, and their staff were amazing! Their attention to detail and the service their staff provided made for a fantastic overall experience. Both Prospector and Rope Rider courses were in excellent shape — hats off to the Superintendent and his crew for keeping the conditions top-notch. Can’t wait to come back!

The Source restaurant in the main lodge was excellent and our waitress Sandi was exceptional. She asked us how our steaks were and when we told her they were overdone, she immediately went back to the kitchen and had new steaks brought out.

Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Price We recently returned to Suncadia for a wedding after years of staying away due to rising prices and consistently poor service — and unfortunately, nothing has improved. We booked a penthouse but weren’t given one (and it’s still unclear if we were charged for it). Upon arrival, the room was in unacceptable condition: a used hard cider can left in the garbage by the bed, dirty-looking sheets, and the sofa bed was completely unmade. We had to call housekeeping multiple times. After our second call, they finally brought a blanket and pillows — but still didn’t remake the main bed, despite repeated reminders both by phone and in person. The room safe was broken, and the dishes in the cabinets were filthy (I pulled out a bowl covered in dried guacamole). The indoor pool was closed due to a bathroom accident, the water slides were out of order, and our teens were turned away from the driving range due to a private event. They also tried to visit the Nelson Farm Pool, which had been available to hotel guests during past visits, but it’s now members-only — something that was never communicated. Also worth noting: there were no blackout curtains, so we were all up at 5:08 a.m. with the sunrise. At $687 a night, this was a deeply disappointing experience. I called assistant manager Kirsten Brunker before posting this review to give the resort a chance to respond, but never heard back. This visit only confirmed why we stopped coming in the first place.

Pros: The staff were all friendly and exceptionally helpful, especially Sarah, Avah, Patrick, and Kelli; the view from our river-view studio was spectacular; the fireplace and bathtub were very appreciated. Cons: for the price of the stay, the room furnishings and finishes were a bit shabby; the bottle of shower gel was empty; the AC/heater fan was loud and rattley; in short, it was not on par for what one would expect for a $600/night room.
