This is a great rejuvenation for the senses. Lovely grounds and rooms, a wide variety of learning, relaxing and body treatments. Here is a place that you get what you pay for. Read about the offerings before you go to make the most of your time.

My husband and I got back a few weeks ago from our 6th stay at the Lodge at Woodloch. Everyone keeps asking me -- why do you keep going back to the same place? Don't you get bored? Well, actually, no! Its my absolute favorite place to relax and spend quality time with my husband. The place encompasses everything I love -- amazing fitness classes, incredible food, art classes to inspire my creative side, nature walks, heavenly spa treatments, downtime curled up with a good book in front of a fireplace... I really can go on and on. Some specific highlights from this trip: the FOOD got even BETTER, if that's possible! I loved everything I ate, especially all the soups at lunch and the cheesecake dessert at dinner (we had it all 3 nights!). I also love how there are always new art classes to try. I did Decorating Birdhouses for the first time and it was so fun, and now I have this gorgeous intricate birdhouse on my mantel that I can look at all the time. I also did "mosaics" and "watercolor on Yupo," both of which I had done before with Debra... they were great as well. (I heard that art teacher Chris is coming back soon?? I took his Zendoodle and Mandala classes a few years ago and he was SUCH a great teacher and I loved his classes. Can't wait to take one of his when we return next time!) I had another AMAZING massage from Amy again -- please keep her there FOREVER. She's truly a gift! As for fitness, I took at few good classes -- the aqua class I took with Kim (?) was fantastic -- but I must say that this time I was slightly disappointed in the fitness offerings. I typically look for more high-intensity cardio classes because I work out regularly, and there were very few on the schedule this time (OR else they were offered at the exact same time as one of the art classes -- ex: I was looking forward to trying ZBox, but it was offered at the same time as Mosaics, so I missed it). I tried the new "vertical energy" trampoline aqua class, which sounded very cool, but was honestly just "eh" in my opinion. When you are in the water and are buoyant anyway, you really don't need the trampoline. The on-land trampoline class which I've taken on previous trips ("Jump for Joy") is such a better workout, although again, it wasn't offered while we were there (and we were there for 4 days, so that was disappointing). The only other complaint I can make is that the service in Tree continues to be pretty slow, especially at dinnertime. All three nights we ended up sitting in the restaurant for 2 hours because the service was so slow -- we felt especially forgotten-about when we were seated in the library annex section of the restaurant. But all in all, we had another fantastic getaway and we can't wait to return for our 7th trip soon!

I won a raffle fo a two night stay for my spouse and myself at the Lodge at Woodloch. What a gift! We’ll go back! Our expectations were exceeded—outstanding service from the bellmen, warm and professional staff at the front desk as well as at the spa desk and in the dining room. The room and amenities are first rate. The dining room ambience and menu options were excellent and healthy. We tried a variety of activities ranging from a massage to art and journaling classes to meditation to exercise activities. All were fun and calming. The pool and hot tubs were very enticing. We have traveled quite a lot and were very pleased to find a great resort option relatively close to home!

Everything about the Lodge is fist class; the food, the accommodations, the ambiance, the service and the people. The Spa is spectacular! There is a steam with Eucalyptus and a pool with water falls that massage your neck and back, and outdoor hot tub. The fire pit came along with big blankets which was so nice to have on a cold fall night. Everyone is well trained, accommodating and eager to make everything perfect for the guests. We will be back!
