I was here for an event, the place was clean and nice looking. The staff seemed to have things under control and all tables were covered with servers, the food was good for a sit down banquet style. Not a bad venue to hold a large event.

Just completed a girlfriends weekend at the Lodge and it was everything I could have hoped for. The grounds are beautiful, and the spa is really fantastic. Excellent services, great indoor and outdoor pool/hot tub areas and terrific fitness center with a really nice variety of classes and top grade equipment. Everyone was very nice, very personable and catered to whatever we needed. The lake and activities, including hiking were first rate. Highly recommend. I will be back!!

My husband and I just returned from a four day stay at the lodge. Overall, it was wonderful. Room was lovely, food spectacular and service very good. A few things to know before you go. Unless you have tremendous will power, you may likely gain some weight from all the delicious food and generous servings! I was encouraged by our server to indulge in 4 course meals every evening. There are snacks everywhere! All food and snacks are clean eating and healthy choices, but it is just a lot! Next, the fitness classes are pretty basic and the instructors amateurish. I mostly skipped the classes worked out on my own. Paddle boarding on the lake was my favorite activity. The massages were very good, the facial could have included a little more pampering for the cost but it was ok. Finally, there is no lap pool or outdoor pool, this surprised us. There is one small indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub. Overall, it was a relaxing couple of days and I would return again.

Here's the thing: you go here only if you want to do lots of gym activities, have lots of spa appointments, get in touch with nature, and want to see just about everyone walking through the hotel and eating breakfast & lunch in a white bath robe - that was kind of a creepy thing, actually. It was like a scene out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Those white robes were everywhere all day, until dinner anyway. We did partake of the gym activities including yoga classes, etc., hiking, the indoor pool, hiking, and golf. You're not going for the guest room, certainly. Those need an upgrade (we stayed in room 312). Nor for any romantic vibe, other than sweating together, if that's your thing. The food is included in the rate, and it specifically tells you that all tips are too. Which is why it's especially annoying to keep getting your bill (for when we ordered a cocktail or bottle of wine at dinner) and seeing the extra tip line. Print that without the extra tip line. It's horribly misleading and shows a lack of respect for their guests. The prices listed on the artwork in the main corridor is outrageously high. A few quotes made me laugh out loud. The service was ok because it was very hit and miss. A few people were overly friendly (as in they don't stop speaking with you even after the conversation has ended), then others would keep their heads down until you were standing right over them. I thought it was weird. I'll just say that you have to be in the mood for nature and maybe not in the mood for alcohol, and wanting to be active, in order to go here. I knew that beforehand so I was ready, but I can't see myself ever returning.
