Spring Creek Ranch

We did the 2 hour trail ride. This was my husbands first time riding and they never gave any instructions at the beginning of how to ride, they just throw you up on the horses and go. Towards the end of our trail ride, my husbands horse spooked and bolted, which resulted in my husband flying off. Sad to say our wrangler sat and did nothing until the situation de escalated. I wish there could’ve been more instructions on what to do in that situation before we went riding!

Please retire Julio. And staff, please be more gentle and kind with those who do not ride horses often- this ride is treacherous, we follow your instructions the best we can and do not need to hear “pull the reigns back, kick your horse” over and over again when clearly the horses are the issue. Sweet Julio was old and many of the other horses as well were not fit for this ride. Did enjoy the beautiful scenery and land to ride on.

Our family did the 1-hour horseback riding and Western BBQ dinner and enjoyed every minute! We did not stay on the property, but would love to next time. The views are amazing! Our wrangler was friendly and knowledgeable, and everyone was helpful and pleasant. The dinner was delicious and the scenery cannot be beat. We loved feeding the horses grass and watching them interact while we ate our dinner. The smores over the bonfire were the perfect way to end the day.

warning for those wanting to create memories with their family using their horseback riding stables. They took over $500 from us after offering us a reschedule that they couldn’t fulfill due to a horse on the trail that was “in training” and it kicked my 7 year old sons horse and created a chain reaction of horses shifting around. It affected my 7 year olds horse more as he was behind the lead and his horse jumped, which scared my son who was a first time rider. We hadn’t even made it 1 minute on the trail and they had to pause the ride and call for another horse to lead. The staff at the stables were very professional and understanding of the situation and offered us a reschedule. However when we dismounted and went inside to reschedule they didn’t have anything for 5 days out in which we would no longer be in Jackson. The management was zero help and even ignored our situation after I emailed. If you can’t afford this, don’t even take a chance on losing money and losing an experience. My husband is a first responder and that was the only experience we could afford for our kids. It was the worst business I have ever dealt with and I hope no other family has to deal with this company in a situation that doesn’t fit their standards. BE VERY AWARE!

We did a 4 person private horseback ride with Adalyn our guide. Adalyn was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and plant life. She was patient and very helpful when she needed to be. The horses were great and knew exactly what to do and where to go. It was a great experience. Would definitely do it again.
