We stayed in one of the "cabins", which are actually 4-plex rooms, connected via a paved walking path which is lighted properly. I loved the beautiful view of the snow-capped teton mountain range from our walk-out balcony. There was plenty of firewood on the porch for the wood-burning fireplace, and the room was well-appointed, if a bit dated. We really enjoyed our stay there, and I would recommend it to anyone. Locating ice is an issue. We brought a small cooler and asked them to fill it at the restaurant. They half-filled it, and that created a situation where we had to go to the guest reception area (a healthy hike uphill) to replenish after the restaurant had closed. The bathrooms are very dated in the cabins, with brown ceramic tile countertops and tub surround, but perfectly clean. I would defininitely repeat the stay.

When I arrived at my parking area for my room assignment I was looking at a 2 story cabin that was divided into four rooms. I was a bit skeptical until I stepped into my room. The room was clean, yet dated. The bed was comfortable and I had a sliding glass door that entered on to a porch that overlooked a pond. The bathroom was small. There was a stack of firewood outside my door and I soon had a cozy fire going. I don't think I would stay there in the summer as there did not appear to be air conditioning. I had a quiet stay, ate a great Bison burger in the restaurant bar. The day was overcast but through the bar window I could see the bottom of the Teton range. Nice short stay.

We first stayed at Spring Creek Ranch 20 years ago and loved it. We enjoyed the Townhome Studio we stayed in very much and felt good about the experience. We have traveled to Jackson on and off over the intervening 20 years but have not stayed at Spring Creek again until this fall when we reserved three Townhome Studios for a week for a family wedding. We were looking for a special family experience and remembering Spring Creek Ranch fondly we thought it would be the perfect place. Unfortunately it was not. Spring Creek Ranch is not what it once was, even considering its expansion and added amenities over the years. For the money, there are now much better options in Jackson. The staff were warm, efficient and friendly, as would be expected. However, the condition of the rooms was not acceptable for a “luxury resort” (their term). The carpet in one of the units was absolutely filthy (photo elsewhere in this review) and there was an insect problem in the bathroom of another. None of the unites met our definition of luxury any longer. We understand that things happen and that sometimes the best of establishments stumble. When such things occur what is important is how the establishment responds. In speaking at length with the General Manager we discovered that these studio units are not owned by “Spring Creek Ranch” but rather by individuals who “rent” them out and who are responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. When we shared our concerns about the condition of the studios the GM indicated that he had not been in the units in quite some time. After he visited the units one was taken out of circulation until the carpet could be replaced. The GM seemed concerned that Spring Creek Ranch had not met its own expectations and we were left with the impression that the GM would provide some kind of accommodation considering the circumstances. To date we have received none and now can’t even get a returned phone call. The Spring Creek Ranch website states, “we pride ourselves on our tradition of integrity, innovation and our ability to provide services that exceed expectations.” This is clearly no longer true.

Our plane had an emergency landing on our way to the ranch. The was an electrical fire in the cockpit. We had no way of completing our trip. The next few hours were filled with people trying to make things better while our luggage was sent on our vacation without us. The customer service at Spring Creek was the nicest and most sympathetic people I had to speak to all day. You took a little of the sting out if this for us. I hope to see you soon. Keep the light in for us. Thank you again.

I loved the cabin atmosphere. Fireplace, nice deck. Views were phenomenal! Bar and restaurant colocated on grounds. Up on edge of cliffs of valley, next to Elk Reserve. No kitchenette. Bed and bedding comfortable. Good water pressure in shower. Staff very friendly. Great walking opportunities.
