I had heard so many positive things about this place but it exceeded my expectations. The service is great, the location absolutely beautiful. An isolated place, with the required privacy and serenity. Perfect place to learn about Honduras' beauty beyond bad news and violence.

Great location with clean comfortable rooms. Staff are really nice and not too over bearing. Danillo is a star! Could do with a few daily specials for dinner as it gets a bit boring after 3 nights. We stayed fro 3 nights and think that's a perfect amount of time.

We stayed in August 2017, 4 adults & 2children 8 & 10yrs old. From the moment you arrive you're looked after. We had a driver pick us up at the hotel, arranged by Pico Bonito. When we reached the lodge, just a few minutes away but very secluded. They met us in the lobby with welcome drinks. Check in was very easy. The cabins are great. Nice little patio with a hammock and table and chairs to spend time in nature. There is A/C so if you like to cool down to sleep its there. being the rainforest it gets humid so we appreciated this. The property is beautiful. The pool is amazing. Especially when the waiter shows up and brings cocktails and chips/salsa! We hiked from the resort, they give maps and you can request a guide if you like. We hiked to a near by swimming spot. Ice cold, clear and great spot to jump off rocks. We booked 2 other trips, white water rafting & zip lining. Both super fun. The Omega tours for the rafting was our favorite. Super professional. The spa onsite is gorgeous and the services great. We had massages and everyone was happy. Super professional. Rooms have everything you need, hairdryers, room service, laundry service, toiletries, towels, robes.

The lodge has become my favorite hotel in Honduras, thus far. I love it. My time there was pure relaxation, exactly what I needed. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities advertised and more. The grounds, pool, spa, trails... it was all perfect. The staff, from the reception to the restaurant, to the maintenance crew, were so very professional, kind and attentive. Even the students that are doing their internship at the lodge did a great job. At the restaurant, the America breakfast was the best. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how good the lamb was for dinner. It was cooked to perfection and very well presented. I am on a tour of the best hotels on the north coast of Honduras. The tour started at Pico Bonito lodge. The tour was my birthday present to me. After Pico Bonito, I went to Roatan, then Ensenada, then Indura. BUT, I enjoyed the lodge so much that I altered the tour and went back to Pico Bonito for a couple more nights. I am most grateful to the staff at the lodge for allowing me to have the most relaxing birthday vacation ever at this wonderful property. I will be back... for sure!!!

I just returned from three nights at Pico Bonito. The hotel is beautiful/clean/the spa amazing/the birds abundant and the employees are very attentive EXCEPT when there is a problem. I highly enjoyed two and a 1/2 days of my visit. We went on hikes/swam in the swimming holes/climbed the toucan tower and watched the toucans fly by and enjoyed the hummingbird feeders by the dining area. We even had a great massage. THEN..... on our last day we went to Cuero and Salado via a tour booked with the hotel. Upon our return we were going to eat lunch and then check out. When the tour van pulled up outside of the reception I could hear Reggaeton music pulsating through the reception center. Apparently the hotel allowed a group of 20 people enter the grounds for a hike and then lunch at the hotel. Needless to say, went we to the dining area and the group was in the pool with their own music BLARING - they were screaming/cackling/etc acting like drunk spring breakers at a beach. Then the group comes to eat. More screaming/cackling/etc. We had to move to the table the farthest away from them - it did not help at all. Not ONE WORD was said to them by staff. NOT ONE BIRD or guatusa was in site during lunch due to the noise. I cant even imagine what it would have been like to receive a massage at that point as the spa is open and next to the pool. We rushed through lunch so we could check out. Three females were at the reception desk on duty - I expressed by concern and basically told them if that was the experience I wanted I would have stayed in La Ceiba not a $200+ night hotel that markets itself as a bird watchers paradise. The three staff members repeatedly ignored my concerns/comments and continued to explain my bill. I asked if the manager was onsite and was told NO. I continued to express my concerns and the women continued to ignore them and just kept requesting my signature. I was in complete shock and very disappointed as I left this hotel. It was an unimaginable ending to a very pleasant stay. I can not recommend this hotel due to the practice of allowing guests to act like drunk spring breakers on site.
