The Lodge at Pico Bonito

I had an incredible experience at The Lodge at Pico Bonito. The property is absolutely stunning surrounded by lush nature, with beautiful hiking trails that let you truly connect with the environment. I really appreciated how well they preserve the area and respect the wildlife; it feels authentic and peaceful, not overdeveloped. One of the highlights of the stay is the guided tour included by the lodge. The guide takes you through the serpentarium and butterfly garden, sharing fascinating information along the way, and even to a beautiful spot where you can jump into the river such a fun and refreshing experience. Another highlight was the massage with Marta. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm care made it an exceptional experience truly relaxing and memorable. Overall, everything was excellent from the setting to the service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature at its best.

An experience like nothing else. My stay at Pico Bonito Lodge in Honduras was an unexpected blend of high-end comfort and warm, modest local service that created a truly unique cultural experience. Surrounded by lush rainforest and the breathtaking backdrop of Pico Bonito National Park, every moment felt immersive. The rivers flowing nearby, the beautifully designed rooms, and the incredible food all came together perfectly—but what truly made it unforgettable was the connection to nature. The vibrant birds and wild animals I encountered are still vivid in my mind. A special highlight was the spa experience—both Martha and Sonia provided exceptional care and made it deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. This is more than just a stay; it’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s a beautiful place filled with peace and calm, perfect for relaxing. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, the restaurant served delicious food, and the massage was absolutely perfect. I would definitely come back!

We spent a wonderful 7 days at Pico Bonito Lodge, exploring the trails and enjoying the wildlife both on our own and with their knowledgeable on-site guides. All members of the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Christian, the manager was very welcoming and the wait staff were very responsive to our needs. The cabins are comfortable and easy to access from the main lodge on well-lit paths. The trails are easy to hike (but steep in places) and take you to beautiful vistas and rivers that provide respite on hot days. The restaurant provided excellent food with options for vegetarians. The portions were large and fruit and vegetables very fresh. Hygiene was excellent. We ate all meals on the lovely lodge deck entertained by hummingbirds at feeders and the occasional agouti. We did not take part in any third-party tours, opting to enjoy the wildlife, facilities and photography opportunities on-site. Should one choose to venture off-site, considerable travel is required (> 2 hours each way). The lodge provided good value for the money - we highly recommend staying there.
