Reviews for The Lodge at Pico Bonito

So good I wanna lie on my review so people stay away 😉

The lodge was exceptional! My partner and I stayed for 3 nights, we loved everything about this experience. The cabin was clean, had water, ac, hot shower. Every day after our hikes we came home to a newly cleaned cabin.. (even remember to fill the coffee/soaps everyday) The breakfast was very good, and lunch/dinner was also amazing. One day we came home from a hike and was very hungry - I told this to the server. My portion was extra big that day. Very attentive, great service! The nature was amazing, and there was no trash anywhere. Truly amazing experience!

great relaxing jungle lodge

The lodge at pico bonito was a wonderful counterpoint to my week diving in Utila and Roatán. I spent a relaxing 3 night at the lodge and went on some great hikes. I loved the amenities of the place and spent a lot of time reading by the pool and looking for toucans in the treetops. I also had a great massage. Good food, attentive service, awesome rooms, good value, and overall a great place. If you have a night or so to spare after the bay islands, i recommend taking a trip to the jungle and staying at the lodge at pico bonito.

Our Experience at Pico Bonito Lodge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Visiting Pico Bonito Lodge has been an incredible experience. We were treated with cold towels and a welcome cocktail ( Yes, you can add rum to it!!!). I will say to get into the street is difficult so make sure you bring a good car that can take a rocky road (see pics below). It feels relaxing and a good getaway from a busy life. We received great services everywhere— except for one time at breakfast when food took too long to come out before our tour. In our stay a tour of the resort was included, our guide, Joel wa incredible and had lots of patience with me and my party when it came to climbing in the rocks. We enjoyed the fireplace and the pool (just wish it was a bit more clean). At the Spa— it was a great experience, I wish it lasted longer! The 30mins includes changing clothes I believe. I went in at 9:35am and left the massage room at 9:57 (I do keep track of everything). At the end, I was given a warm tea before heading back to the cabin. The massage I did was a 30min massage for $35. If you want to enjoy a quiet getaway, I recommend it! Make sure to bring repellent, comfy clothes and loose change for tips (if not front desk can change into Lempiras).

Amazing, relaxing, beautiful!

Pico bonito was a great stay! The cabins are so nice and the nature around is beautiful! Joel was the best tour guide and knew so much about all the wildlife and fauna around the area. Marta at the spa was such a relaxing and welcoming presence. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed here for a wedding and all though it’s very scenic, the management of this place is terrible. The service was ok. A lot of the locals and workers really went out of their way to make this a decent experience but all in all I was extremely disappointed. No one is there to make decisions on anything and they need management approval to move a hand. Management was contacted but not on site or within reaching distance. We would call, email and text and just get ignored while a worker would call and they would answer on the first ring but refuse to talk to us. This place has so much potential but isn’t allowed to be ran by locals. I will never be going back.

We would like to thank Luxury Link for helping us discover the extraordinary Lodge at Pico Bonito in Honduras. The setting was spectacular, the outings each morning with the naturalist were fascinating, the food quite good, and the staff a delight. Our very private cabin was the epitome of quietly elegant, rustic luxury. But most memorable was sitting on our cabin deck with our early morning coffee watching toucans and parrots, butterflies and the occasional agouti! As you can tell, I can't say enough good things about The Lodge at Pico Bonito. I think many people do not think of Honduras as a luxury destination, and this lodge proves otherwise.

My fiance and I recently stayed at The Lodge at Pico Bonito...it is a truly beautiful place. The food there is awesome, the service great. The menu is superb and everyone is so wonderful and friendly. We had a very pleasant experience and we intend to go back this year if our schedule permits. It's a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of one's everyday life.

Pico Bonito is truly a nature lover's paradise with fantastic cuisine and rustic yet lovely accommodations. All of the activities the lodge offers are fantastic. The nature guides are very well versed and the restaurant and room staff are wonderful
