Considered by many one of the best hotels of its kind in the country, Whiteface Lodge is nestled in Adirondack Park. This six-million-acre recreation area in upstate New York has drawn nature lovers for decades.

The most beautiful mountain resort in the country. Every guest is treated like a king, the staff is so accommodating & the suites are like owning your own mountain retreat. The onsite restaurants are superb, the amenities are top notch. Excellent value for your money. Highly recommended.

We cannot possibly say enough about the "hidden gem resort". It's all about the little details and The Whiteface Lodge goes the extra mile to provide them all. From the Friday, welcome hot chocolate/sangria offering to the exceptional service and friendly, attentive staff to the luxurious accommodations - we cold not have been happier. We stayed for a week and played tennis everyday, hung by the pool and explored the cafes and restaurants in town and in the resort. Dining at the resort was truly exceptional and recommended (thank you Kara). We will most certainly be back again!

We were here for our 10th anniversary. The pictures are a lot different than the actual lodge. The pool is small and gets crowed fast. We stayed in the one bedroom clubhouse. The beds are so outdated and uncomfortable. We woke up sore every morning. Breakfast was excellent every morning. Staff are hit or miss. Would I spend $500+ a night to stay here again, no.

My husband and I came here for a little getaway and had a great experience! Staff were all super friendly, check-in was easy and grounds were beautiful. May must be a slower time to visit because we were usually at the hot tubs or pool by ourselves or one or two other couples. Most things in town were closed as well Mon-wed. We ate at the breakfast buffet everyday and it was delicious. We also ate at Peak47 which was great as well! We ate at Kanu and were slightly disappointed, no bread service and we asked for both steaks to be cooked medium, one was rare and one was well done. Lobster Mac and cheese tasted like lobster, pasta and lobster bisque as the sauce rather than cheese and some of the truffle fries tasted raw in the middle. Even though they share a kitchen, we wished we ate at peak47 again. Service was great though! We walked to and from the pool in our robes. Pools were always clean and quiet with more than enough space to lounge and relax indoors and outdoors. The 84°F pool felt cold at times but warmer other times depending on the outside temperature but always swimmable. The hot tubs are 103°F. There were also wasps landing on us and surrounding us by the pool but we did notice a pest control company arriving so hopefully that was taken care of. We booked the deluxe suite and it was so spacious and beautiful. Balcony was great and the kitchen comes with everything you need and even ice. Our rooms were cleaned everyday. The linens did have a musty smell like they were being stored in a closet for a while and then being put on the bed, not dirty, but not freshly washed. Other than that, our room was extremely clean and tidy, and the daily chocolate chip cookies were such a bonus! The Wi-Fi did go out for a good 24 hours during our stay rendering our tv useless and phones hardly usable with little cell service. This is a great getaway for couples, families or girls trips. I definitely would recommend or come again myself! You really do not have to leave the resort if you don’t want to!

This was our second trip to the Whiteface Lodge and I have to say we were disappointed this trip. To start, because of the no cancelation policy we had to make a decision Friday night between losing a night at $1500 or driving in a blizzard to get there. We had a blast on Saturday, but a few things just made us feel like it wasn't worth the cost. The biggest issue was there was a wedding there Saturday night, and parking was a nightmare. We had planned on eating at the restaurant onsite and not having to leave the lodge, but opentable said there were no tables available all night (we assume because of the wedding). So we had to venture out in -5 degree temperatures. When we got back, there was a very long line for the valet so we tried to park the car ourselves. Eventually we found a spot along the road, which wasn't ideal. When we went to move the car later in the night to the parking lot someone else had parked right up against the car so we were essentially blocked in. We did notify the hotel of the issues, and while everyone was very nice to apologize, that was about it. I think for the amount of money the resort costs, to have a parking hassle and not being able to eat at the resort just made it feel like it wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, after being there twice in a year, I don't know that we would return.
