Canyon Ranch had been on my bucket list for years. I’ve never heard anything but rave reviews from friends and family and so was excited to see for myself. CR completely exceeded my expectations, food was delicious, accommodations were perfect (and comfortable), and it truly is a transformative retreat. You will walk away refreshed, with a new perspective, and full of new information about yourself. There are tons of activities throughout the day, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the things you may not normally have access to/or nervous to try. Just be sure to allow yourself time to just be. I look forward to my next CR visit. Staff is beyond friendly—and I can’t recommend the seminars & learning kitchen for lunch enough!

Masseuse Anna Petruolo was phenomenal in her technique and listening skills. I was heavy w/ an unusual amount of biz stress and asked for a clearing, energizing massage. She was present the entire time. I left a better woman than when I walked in.

This trip to CR was a gift from a generous friend for my Birthday, she is a frequent guest there. I was not sure what to expect from a four day wellness trip but I have to say I enjoyed the experience. I say Experience because it is not your typical vacation. It truly is all about your physical, mental and spiritual health . They have a full packed schedule everyday of all free classes and seminars, we were busy each day and enjoyed every moment at CR. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Coffee pots and electric tea pot ( I loved!!) Everyone is dressed in workout gear from morning till night ( we did dress up for dinner but most guest were not). It was a casual laid back feel, no makeup, no fuss, no worry. We did pay for several extra spa treatments that were pricey but loved them, especially the coconut massage, private Pilates class and sound meditation. I took a 7:30 am pole hike class in 18 degrees but it was fantastic and a great way to start your day. The food was great, clean healthy choices. All the staff at this resort are all super friendly and hard working. This was not something I would ordinarily spend money on especially since I was not with my husband....BUT I would definitely go back. I learned so much about myself, my well being, things I need to change about myself to live a less stressful life. Look at it as an investment to my inner self.

First time visiting with a group of ladies who go every year. Cannot say enough about the level of service, the lovely facilities, the friendly and attentive staff and fabulous programs. I was able to be as busy as I wanted and find some down time. The meals were very good- would have liked a rotating menu for lunch - but everything I ate was delicious and plentiful. The spa treatments were great - highly recommend the sole rejuvenation for anyone with tired feet. It was incredible. Sleeping rooms were very nice but literally only for sleeping. I spent the entire day in the spa and gyms. I was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews but found that my experience could not have been more different from those who did not enjoy. I’ll go again next year and every year after that!

I’ve been coming to this location for 30+ years and never have been disappointed. All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice —very comfortable bed and lots of towels and toiletries, but I spent most of my time in exercise classes, pool, and spa areas all of which were well equipped and spotless. The classes were fun, some challenging, the teachers were all excellent. I felt that the food was good, not amazing, and had some repetition but I give credit to the chef for the quality of ingredients and the healthy balance. The focus is on healthy eating, not calorie restriction. Between the dining room and the bistro we were kept well fed. I am writing this in response to some previous posts which I feel are grossly unfair. They had me so concerned I almost cancelled but am now glad I didn’t. In fact I was on the look out for rude, unhelpful staff, bad food and something about awful rugs. None of that materialized. I also quizzed my companion and many guests, all were happy with their visit. A stay is pricey and therefore some might be overly anxious to justify their financial investment. To that end they missed the bigger picture of healthy, upbeat, and peaceful pampering that Canyon Ranch Berkshires provides.
