Sanctuary Lodge is a small hotel right at the entrance to Machu Picchu. The location, the food and especially the service there are all outstanding. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your every wish. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

What a hotel! Yes you pay a heavy price but the service in this hotel is impeccable. We arrived in time for lunch which we managed to squeeze in before our first 3pm visit to Machu Picchu. Room was diddy but had all the amenities one requires. Attended the free cocktail making class at 5.45pm which was cool. Even got to make my own Pisco Sour 👍👍👍 Dinner was nice with drinks included and entertainment provided. Breakfast was devoured after our second 6am visit to Machu Picchu. For convenience this hotel is perfect directly at the entrance. Would stay again if ever visiting the area….

Our stay here was exceptionally good. The position of the hotel gives early morning access to Machu Pichu before the crowds. The service and staff were excellent. Lovely small garden to relax in and watch the hummingbirds

Im rarely so effusive about the hotels we have stayed in but Sanctuary Lodge is special beyond words. The service from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave is truly first class. The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable and the food and drinks on offer are excellent too. This is before we get onto the hotels location right next to the entrance to Machu Picchu which makes it ideal for a late afternoon or early morning visit to this amazing place when the crowds have died down. Absolutely add this hotel to your plans for a visit to Machu Picchu!
