Estancia Cristina is a very special place located in the heart of the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The adventure begins with a 3 hour catamaran journey to the Estancia with breathtaking views of huge icebergs recently shed by the Upsala Glacier floating on Lake Argentino. On arrival at the Estancia you are welcomed with a sumptuous lunch in the Octagon (restaurant & bar area) whilst your bags are delivered to one of the 20 fabulous rooms with breathtaking views of the valley and mountains beyond. However, the magic really begins when you choose your activities for your stay. We stayed 2 nights so did the Cascada de los Perros hike with a guide on our first afternoon, the 5 hour Refuge + Lago Pearson horse ride on day 2 and the whole day Glacier Upsala Lookout + Canadon de los Fosiles hike on day 3. Each activity was truly special in their own way but the horse ride really stood out for us, crossing a roaring glacial river on horseback when you've never ridden before is a memory to cherish. Our thanks to the amazing staff at the Estancia, all of whom contributed to an unforgettable stay.

This was an amazing experience. You arrive to the hotel by boat and you are seated upstairs inside with amazing views. From there, at the hotel you have an easy check-in at the lodge and go over activities for the day and the following day. The food at the hotel was phenomenal! It was a great time hiking and horseback riding here. The rooms were spacious, clean. It was such a relaxing experience being with nature. Additionally the staff was phenomenal, so friendly, kind, and knowledgable on the area. Hope to visit again soon!

Great visit ….. EXCEPT the”walk” to see Upsala glacier was demanding for people in our 80s - as we are. It was full of stones and had an uphill demand. My husband fell down at the end and hurt himself quite a bit. We were lucky it wasn’t worse . I don’t recommend doing that walk if you are not up to 25 minutes over rocks going uphill

Estancia Cristina has a unique position in the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. A luxury stay in the middle of nowhere. Not cheap, but you pay for what you get: pickup at your hotel of origen, boat trip with a VIP deck for people staying at the lodge. A warm welcome by the team and a superb 3-course lunch to start with. Food quality: excellent. The rooms are spacious and modern. All rooms are connected to sattelite WiFi these days (no cellular signal during your stay). The guides to the excursions are skilled and friendly - obviously don’t miss the Cañadón de los Fósiles trip with the Uppsala glacier lookout point. All-in-all a great experience.
