The Sedona Wellness Retreat at the Lodge at Sedona was a perfect place for me to stay to relax and heal. Staff was amazing and can help with many types of dietary and health improvements. Many educational activities are available and guest interaction is encouraged. the kind of place where you feel comfortable walking around in your slippers and not locking your door. Chris B

From Chris' greeting to Kim's farewell, we felt especially welcome and cared for at this one-of-a-kind B&B. My friend and I are workaholics in care giving and the hospitality industry. We were looking for a place to rejuvenate and "reset" during a short stay. The Lodge was easy to get to - just a block off the main street (Hwy 89A), though it felt like we were in a cabin in the woods. Our suite was huge, comfortable, and private - oversized tub, fire place, private patio with exit to parking. It contained a couple of imaginative items, too. There was an oversized ottoman that contained a fold-out twin bed with a thick memory foam mattress. The door to the patio had small, screened openings on either side that could be opened to appreciate the night breeze and sounds of wind through the pines. The room TV was small (32"?) so it did not dominate the room. Breakfast was healthful and in just the right portion sizes. We really appreciated that the staff was available though not intrusive. We never heard them or our neighbors moving around during the day or night.

Lodge style B&B in a great location in Sedona. Quiet, nice landscaping, cozy well-furnished rooms in a peaceful setting. The staff went out of their way to help us schedule activities, answer questions, and make us feel at home. The Lodge also operates as a wellness center and seems to have group retreats. This had no effect on our stay. The breakfast each day was over the top and the kitchen is centrally located in the lodge and you can watch the chefs work. The smells were heavenly! Beautiful hardwood floors in the living areas, We had the Desert Trail suite which has its own entrance from a private deck. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. We had a few glitches in the room which we advised the staff of on our departure. Small things that again, did not effect our overall stay. We thought the location was perfect and it is off the main road through town (which is unbelievably busy at all hours). Highly recommend this lodge and would stay here again.

I truly enjoyed the visit. They were very accommodating, and the room met my expectations. The wi-fi is good which was a plus. Lots of places to hangout, read and have coffee. It was very clean as well. I will be back!

This is not close to a typical b&b. The idea of keeping the lodge full by mixing an alternative wellness retreat with meals and programs with regular b&b guests, there to socialize and enjoy shared experiences but not included in any of the programs on their daily "activity" board is bad. When we checked in we were made to feel it was our fault for not knowing we were in a wellness retreat. We were told to "just ignore" the juice bar, for wellness people only. when I inquired about dinner at the lodge after a long day of travel were told that was just for the wellness people. The barrier between the 2 sets of guests was very off putting to say the least. Had I had any idea what we were booking into I would have chosen other accommodations. We travel frequently and have always enjoyed the b&b experience where guests mingle after a day of sightseeing and exchange ideas. This was not it. I felt so deceived that I carefully looked up the lodge website in our room. Nothing about an alternative health and wellness facility. My bad for not reading all the reviews. Since we had never had a bad experience I got a little lax. We also did not get the room we had booked. When I enquired about that discrepancy we were told the TV was broken in the room we had booked. Also, no pool. Room very small, barely room for 2 pieces of small luggage, carpeting in room soiled, strong odor of disinfectant. Breakfast OK but not anything I would have ordered and no choices available. I must say the property itself was lovely and quiet. Of the 50 or more b&b experiences we have had I would have to rate this at the very bottom. I couldn't get over the deception and false advertising and the feeling of being an unwelcome intruder.
