Beautiful resort and 4th of July celebrations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This is a beautiful hotel, and an even better location. We went for the 4th of July celebrations, which were perfect. Tons of food trucks, awesome food, drinks, kids activities, great bands with fireworks at the end. The pool is great as well and kudos to the pool service guys they were super attentive and fast, and the food and drinks were great as well. There are tons of hiking options and activities. The reasons why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the overall service was lacking. The front desk didn't provide any maps, event schedules (we found them on our own) or any extra information. We saw tennis courts on our hike but didn't even know they were there. It was just a hello here is your room and done. The housekeeping was very late everyday close to 5 pm and they forgot something everyday. Someday it was wet towels in our bedroom some day the bed wasn't made. They also don't have turndown service, or any room service. They don't have a buffet breakfast either - which is quite inconvenient for families. We tried the A la carte breakfast one day but it was not good, and it took ages ( we were there for 2 hours) We just landed up going to the coffee shop all other days, which was cute, but we missed the usual buffet breakfast spread to get our day started. If they fix these few things, it can be a great repeat destination.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

we spent 6 days there June of 2025. the customer service was exceptional. everyone, including the valet guys, were amazing. id like to highlight one thing that happened that blew my mind away. my 3 year daughter touched the fireplace in the room and got a third degree burn. the hotel has a nurse on staff and she quickly dispatched to the lobby to take care of my daughter. they gave her toys, crayons, and incredible attention. they called every day thereafter to check up on her and even called in their insurance to make sure any hospital or doctor visits would be covered by their insurance. we are 100% fans of this resort and we cannot wait to visit during the winter time.

A Great Few Days Away

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Absolutely lovely, sprawling resort in a gorgeous part of Vermont. Just a short drive to go to downtown Stowe. Rooms are large and well equipped and spotless clean. The pool a good size, and has plenty of chairs to lounge in. I loved the terrace our room had and enjoyed stargazing at night. We had a fully stocked kitchen which gives you everything you need to cook a meal in the room. The check-in process was a little rocky, and our room keys were incorrect, and the configuration of the room had also not been explained. But we were more than satisfied with the room once that was all ironed out. Food was good at the hotel, but I felt the restaurants and bars were lacking ambience, and the chairs are not comfortable at all. I'd love to see drinks served in the sprawling lobby area since its way cozier. A lot of the outside venues weren't open, and are probably more geared for winter travelers, but I did appreciate The Pantry.

Beautiful property with limited services

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Beautiful property in an amazing location. The property was hosting two event so that left hotel guests with minimal options for food and in some cases, outdoor space. A bit sub par for a luxury hotel with an expensive room rate. Only breakfast option was a self serve continental breakfast.
