Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa

Great massage, very relaxing and enjoyable!

Definitley one of our favorite hotels ever. First impression was very warm and inviting, the lobby is beautiful and the staff is ultra professional. Unfortuntely, we were not pleased with the room they gave us (right next to the noisy front desk, view of the parking lot), so I requested something better (it was our 30th anniversary, after all) and they obliged, which went a long way with us. And everything was a huge thumbs up from that point on! The room itself spoke strongly to our aesthetics - dark wood, cozy, cabin-like feel, but with all the amenities of an upscale apartment, including a comfortable bed with cushioned headboard, well-stocked kitchen, full-size refrigerator, pod coffee machine, WiFi, two large screen TVs. And we had a great view off the patio/deck. There was no run-down furniture or bad carpet or imperfections in the wood or curtains. Everything was pristine clean, including the outdoor chairs and table. And everything worked perfectly and intuitively - lights, plugs, fireplace, shower (with great water pressure!), stove, small kitchen appliances, and a refrigerator that was super cold when we arrived. It might seem like these are all obvious things. But we have stayed in so many hotels, some quite expensive, that had all sorts of little things that didn't work right, were dirty or worn, or were difficult to figure out. Those little annoyances added up to big disappointments. The fact that everything was functional, clean, and easy here was a fantastic relief. Side note on the room: our one complaint was the pillows. Standard "bulk buy" flat flat flat hotel pillows. This is such a ubiquitous thing (the one and only exception I've ever experienced in the US was the Lotte Towers in NYC) that I can't really let it affect my review, but I did find it a little disappointing that they don't spring for better pillows. Service was wonderful. They sent up sweets and drinks on two different nights, as anniversary gifts. The doorman happily brought up our load of luggage, with door to door service. Front desk was always helpful and friendly - the with directions and recommendations and they sent up slippers since we forgot to bring any kind of slip ons to go to the pool. In the lobby, coffee is available in the mornings, fruit and water in the afternoons, and dessert every night from 7:30 to 9:30. We spent one late afternoon at the indoor pool and jacuzzi at the spa, and then made our way up to the 4th floor hot tub with mountain views. So beautiful and relaxing. We also visited Spur, which we did not enjoy, but I reviewed them separately and do not feel that should carry over into the hotel review. No question we will come back here when we visit the Tetons again!

This was a 25th anniversary trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Our travel agent put us in Teton Village at the Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa in a junior suite. Disclaimer: we are not brand or prestige chasers. We prefer unassuming quality. The room was nice enough. We had a view of the mountain but we had to look at the parking park, too. We felt that Teton Village caters to people who like to overpay and brag about it. We found oursleves going into Jackson to find shops and restaurants. In hindsight, we should have stayed in Jackson. We came to enjoy nature not to stay at a pretentious hotel. We didn't have a need for the spa, so i can't speak to that. There is a roof top hot tub, but when we went to look at it there was a couple going in so that was awkward. I prefer something more private. There was a stuffed moose on the bed that was cute and water in disposable aluminum bottles. There was no indication, either with a sign or on the items, that there was a charge for them. After I drank on of the waters, I looked at reviews (not related to drinking the water) and saw that there was a charge for them. I was going to take the Moose, but after reading the reviews and realizing there was a charge, I was grossed out that it has been touched and who knows what else by many others before us. They did not have it in the tiny gift shop. I have just returned, so I don't know if I will be charged for the water. I just wanted to provide a warning to other travelers. This is my opinion based on my preferences. Others may enjoy this type of accomidation, so I am not knocking them. I assume it is super convinient for skiers. But for summer/fall I don't see the allure.

This is a wonderful hotel. The service was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This facility has great amenities. Especially enjoyed the rooftop hot tub.

Outstanding in all respects. Attentive and friendly staff, and fabulous facility. also enjoyed the Spur restaurant at the hotel for service and friendly atmosphere.
