About the Hotel
In 2013, media mogul Ted Turner purchased Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa near Turtleback Mountain in New Mexico. Why? The area’s geothermal Hot Springs, frequented by Native Americans like Geronimo, have been the cornerstone of this Old West retreat for nearly 90 years. The lodge’s rooms & suites feature rustic wood furnishings and Native American décor, and the spacious two-bedroom Casita provides comfort, privacy and panoramic views of the mountainous landscape. Chef Miyazaki focuses on the American Southwest, with menu items such as Black Truffle Steak and Maple Leaf Cherry Port Duck. The Spa at Sierra Grande utilizes the natural geothermal spring underneath the lodge to create private pools and soothing baths in the mineral-rich water.

Great stay
We stayed at this hotel about eight years ago, and stayed here again when we visited truth or consequences. We had booked at another hotel right around the corner and it was far below our expectations, so we hurried back to something we knew was comfortable and classy, like before, The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was more than adequate, and the Hot Springs were great.

Favorite Stay
Our favorite place to stay in Truth or Consequences. Free breakfast and soaks - all the pools are private. The staff are wonderful. Rooms are on the verge of needing some minor updates although still charming. Quiet area and walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and brewery.

Excellent massage and hot soak!
My GF and I both scheduled a massage and soak. They only give you 30 minutes to soak so dont waste time. come showered and ready to get in. The one size robes didn't quite cover everything so the assistant was so kind to find us some larger robes which fit perfectly.

Enchanting Destination!
Sierra Grande is amazing! We visit every time we come to NM to unwind after spending time with family & friends in Albuquerque. The hot springs soaks are so relaxing & the spa a much appreciated luxury. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and goes out of its way to meet your needs. While the building is 100 years old, it exudes ambiance and historical significance. We will always stay at Sierra Grande when we visit NM!

Well worth the visit, great people
This is truly a quality experience. The rooms are nice, the hot tubs are excellent but it's the people who make it a great visit. After relaxing in the hot springs you will feel an inner peace and be ready for the day!
