Tanque Verde is a special place due to the location and natural environment where it's located. It's just the right size (not too big or small) and it feels like family every year.

I recently returned from a trip to the Ranch for a conference. The conference bought out the entire ranch. My first impression was that it was old and maybe needed some updating. But, once I read the story of the ranch, and experienced what it was, my opinion changed to loving the authenticity of the grounds and the rooms. It is not a luxury resort, and doesn't pretend to be. But, you aren't booking this place for luxury, you're booking it for an authentic great ranch experience. The staff was top-notch...incredibly friendly and helpful and there to make sure every need was met. The pool was beautiful. The dining hall and buffet was perfect for our group. Though my conference schedule was packed full, the number of activities for adults and kids was impressive. Upon returning home, I told my husband that we need to book a vacation at the ranch for our entire family which includes 2 married daughters with young children, and a 19 year old son. I'm convinced everyone in our group would have a wonderful, memorable experience.

It was hard to find a positive about this place besides the beautiful setting. The horses didn’t seem happy, the food was awful, the staff was nice but so overworked, the accommodations were so outdated and uncomfortable beds. My mom literally fell off of a horse and broke her back bc of an inexperienced instructor and they didn’t even reach out to see if she was ok. We brought a family of 16 and left early bc it was that bad.

My wife and I with our 3 adult children have been trying to coordinate getting here for years. The wait was worth it! We came for the horseback experience, but enjoyed the food and pool as well. Fantastic scenery and a chance to learn the basics of riding. Now we are planning to take lessons at home to more fully participate when we come back! By the second day my wife was looking forward to when she and I could return, with or without the kids….

Tanque Verde Ranch was our first experience with a guest ranch. We arrived in Arizona not knowing what to expect. When we finally arrived we were both amazed by the place. Our room was upgraded to a fireplace suite and it was lovely and spacious with a back patio that opened onto the wide desert. The horseback rides out into the Sonoran desert were both beautiful and exciting. The food was fabulous. It was the best vacation we'd ever had!
