Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (VFSL) impresses from arrival to departure. Efficient, warm welcome at the well organised reception, after entering the extremely beautiful building, freshly rethatched. Rooms faultless, with all facilities, multiple socket types, including USB ports for recharging, usable wifi, stunning view over the scrub, trees and water hole, to name a few. Excellent restaurant of local and international dishes. Wide range of high quality breakfast choices (buffet and a la carte). Well trained, friendly staff everywhere. Extensive bar area, overlooking the water hole, where lots of different animals (crocs, kudu, marabou storks, buffalo, elephant and more) come and go on a continuous basis. Can't rate it highly enough

My experience and expectations are based on the fact that our tour group was originally scheduled to stay at a nicer lodge within walking distance of the small town. The staff was courteous and friendly, but did not seem prepared for our group. All communication with the VF Safari Lodge management was handled through our travel director. The staff did respond to our concerns and apologized for any confusion that occurred. We did not stay in the main lodge because it was undergoing renovation. The room we had was somewhat cramped, but overall the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was good since we did have a watering hole to view from our balcony and we even had a family of warthogs that we saw on the property. We did enjoy the Boma Dinner and Drum show and the food was good with several local choices. The show made us feel as though we were truly in Africa. There was shuttle service provided from VF Safari Lodge to the small town, so getting around was not a problem. Overall, I would give the VF Safari Lodge a 3-star rating--it was adequate, but I was expecting to stay in a 4-star accommodation. I cannot speak for value for the money because my trip was booked as a group tour.

What a great place to stay. You won't regret it! I expected a resort, but much more of an "African Experience". Can't say enough about the service and local. Evenings watching the watering hole were great. Herds of elephants strolling by the lodge. Awesome.

From your own room you are on safari sighting many game who venture to the waterhole at the hotel! Don't miss out on the vulture feeding at 1pm. Only drawback was no elevator and many levels and stairs to navigate. Breakfast incredible selection. Not so keen on their dinner menu. The Boma - Dinner and Drum show is a must!

Second best place to stay in Victoria Falls, the best being the Victoria Falls Hotel. Go to the barbecue drum show (onsite). Rooms overlook the park and the vulture feeding is a great experience. Free shuttle bus into the town
