We stayed here for two nights in April 2018 as the last spot of our Southern Africa trip. Prior to arriving in Zimbabwe I was a bit skeptical based on general reports of crime, lack of money, etc. and was completely surprised at how nice this lodge was! We arrived to excellent customer service from the lobby staff. Although our room wasn’t quite ready (we arrived at Noon) we were offered full use of property including pools, restaurant, etc. The reception staff (bellman, checkin desk, etc) were all so friendly and welcoming. While we were eating lunch the bellman came and let us know our room was available. I was so impressed when we saw the room as it was spacious, very clean, and stocked with nice products (shampoo, lotion, etc). The pools are both very nice and perfectly located for sun and shade. We had massages at the lower pool for a very reasonable fee. The bar staff also covers the pool so it’s easy to grab drinks and food. Dining in the hotel is excellent with a wide variety and fresh ingredients. The breakfast is standard for but with exceptional views of the valley. We tried everything including the made to order omelets. Overall, this place was excellent with friendly customer service!

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights on our honeymoon and had a nice stay. The rooms are okay—a little rustic for my preference. When we were checking into our room, there were three small animals (chipmunks or squirrels?) running around our room. Our bellhop eventually scared them away, but it was an unsettling start. We also lived with several hand-sized spiders throughout our stay—terrifying! Overlooking the watering hole was super cool. We saw so many animals! Food at the hotel was okay. The watering hole is what makes this hotel great!

Although I originally come from this part of the world I love coming back and sharing so many wonderful experiences with friends, which was made better by staying at Vic Falls Safari Lodge. The food, service and vulture restaurant was so interesting and ot course helps keep this species alive.

Resort with great relaxing ambience. All the rooms seem to face the waterhole where you can spot animals at a distance. The general manager came personally to ensure that everything was ok with our tour group. Highly recommended.

We pondered for quite a while over where to stay whilst in the Falls and cancelled a booking before finally plumping for here. So glad that we did. The rooms have balconies with views over the water hole, very large showers and everything else that you could want. The staff are really helpful, breakfast and dinner good. But the main thing is that waterhole. We ate in the Ilala Lodge and the Victoria Falls Hotel, so saw their facilities. In my opinion, sitting by a pool looking at a manicured lawn does not compare to sitting by a pool watching a family of elephants. Being out of town does not represent a problem, we used the shuttle bus every day and on 2 evenings and it was absolutely reliable. The Ilala Lodge is better for dinner, in terms of the food, but it is worth eating here one night, we enjoyed the meal and the views. Finally the staff are brilliant, so friendly and cannot do enough for you.
