The Safari Lodge was our favorite lodging during our trip to South Africa. The grounds are beautiful and we even saw warthogs running through the grass one day ont heir way tot he watering hole. The rooms are well maintained, roomy, a welcomed fridge and room safe, the decor is beautiful African, and the mosquito netting around the beds is both romantic and essential. Overlooking the watering hole from our balcony was incredible and the wildlife was quite abundant. Every employee at the lodge was friendly, helpful, and did all possible to make our stay was! We had breakfasts, lunch, and dinner at the lodge and the food was varied in selection and delicious. The shuttle into the village, Victoria Falls, and the craft markets was an appreciated bonus and it ran frequently making this something we utilized several times. My husband booked the Hide and See at the lodge watering hole viewing blind for 2 hrs. on the last afternoon of our was absolutely the highlight of his entire African Adventure and the moments via photos really are quite stunning that he was able to capture. The guide, Charles, was knowledgeable, friendly, and took great care to assure my husband's safety. I have only want complaint...I wish that we could have stayed longer. Thank you to everyone working at the hotel for making our stay memorable, comfortable, really just perfect!! One day we will return...don't miss this incredible lodging at Victoria Falls.

We had a wonderful family stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in April 2017. Everything was excellent - from the views, the rooms, the staff and the food. We highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

VF Safari Lodge was recommended by our tour company, Rhino Africa. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property! It is a large, rustic lodge situated 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful view of the savannah and a large watering hole to view a variety of animals throughout your stay. They offer a free shuttle to several spots in town every hour, which was very useful! Our room was on the upper floor and located near the main building which includes the restaurant, bar, swimming pool, shop, and front desk. The rooms are small but nicely decorated with a modern bathroom and balcony with great views! Breakfast was great and we usually enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner with drinks at the bar, which was very good and reasonable. The service throughout our stay was excellent! Also, at 1pm each afternoon, they do a vulture feeding which was amazing, take you cameras! If you are looking for a true Zimbabwe experience, I would definitely stay at VF Safari Lodge! We stayed 3 nights, which was perfect! Also, if you would like to help to local community, take a look at "Pack for a", They list needs of the local anti-poaching unit and you can leave these items at the front desk to be delivered.

The highlight is to watch the animals roam around the watering hole from the comforts from your hotel room balcony, eating your meals, by the pool and even a late night cocktail at the bar. Food and staff were excellent.

Whether at the bar, the pool, the restaurant or room 10, the watering hole is in easy view and provides numerous sitings of wild animals. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Recommend you take a nature walk of the grounds with Zulu. Would have loved a longer stay here. The one exception was Boma: confusing, no order, the food I got was bad and the staff taking away plates from the service line at 8 pm., could not get any replacement, entertainment was minimal and disappointing compared to Gold in Capetown.
