Reviews for Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
We had a great two night stay. The facilities were great with the only down side being a few holes in the mosquito net which allowed at least one to get in during the night. This aside, it was a great way to finish our week in Southern Africa. The food at breakfast, the Buffalo Bar for lunch and in the restaurant at night was superb. The service was as good as any we had on our trip with all staff friendly. I strongly suggest you visit the Boma restaurant and show nearby for an entertaining evening.

This was the first stop of our Southern Africa experience, three generations together. What a great way to start! As most rooms, all ours looked out on the waterhole which was constant entertainment. The rooms were comfortable, stylish and well-appointed with excellent mattresses, nice toiletries and great plumbing! We spent each sunset of our stay on the terrace with sundowners - a wonderful experience. Then we ate either in the à la carte restaurant onsite or at the Boma, a shuttle ride away. The food was good with unexpected combinations. I'm glad I tried crocodile but probably won't again. One morning we arranged a dawn trip to the Siduli hide with engaging guide Charles, who was knowledgeable and brought biscuits. We watched bird life, impala, crocs and a massive herd of buffalo up close. Breakfasts were very good - I especially enjoyed the smoked haddock frittata. There's a lovely room at the top of the lodge which has beautiful views and comfy chairs. Highly recommended for the sunset! A great stay.

Situated a little way out of the town, however a complimentary shuttle bus runs from 8am to 10pm at 45 to the hour to take you down town and to the falls. The hotel is comfortable with rooms having a private deck overlooking the savanna and water hole, which can afford the occasional sighting of Elephants, Warthogs, Crane's, Buffalo and Waterbuck amongst others. The breakfast offered a wide choice of food, compatible to any major hotel chain. The dinner choice included well known dishes and some local specialities. The food is reasonably price, although would say the entree were perhaps not the best value for money. The rooms were comfortable with a recent bathroom upgrade with rain shower. The layout has the main restaurant on the upper level, bars below and viewing deck that all overlook the waterhole. Every day around 1pm is Vulture feeding, which sees a variety of Vultures and Maribou Stalks circling above - it is quite a sight to see. The staff are friendly and the stay very comfortable.

My husband & I had a fantastic time at the lodge and especially like all the friendly staff members. Love the setting and watching the animals at the watering hole. Awesome experience. The food at the restaurant is excellent especially the French flies. We both think they are the best in the world.
Hotel was outstanding in every way. Wonderful view and amenities. Victoria Falls is spectacular and not to be missed. Town had a good restaurant called Mama Africa's which was reasonably priced. Shuttle service from hotel to falls and town was timely and excellent.
