Reviews for Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
We had a most enjoyable stay 3 night stay at Victoria Falls Lodge. Staff service and organisation of activities is very good. Efficient service at breakfast, lunch and dinner plus OK meals and wine list. Hotel runs an hourly efficient small bus shuttle to/from local shopping area, its Vic Falls tour is very well run, the Vulture feeding is worth seeing, and the BOMA an outstanding experience. Rooms are spacious with good hanging space for clothes, lovely balconies overlooking waterhole with regular bird and wildlife sightings plus colourful sunsets. Very quiet overnight, comfortable beds with mosquito net, good water pressure in shower. Wifi worked ok. Activities desk manages additional tours without issue. My only complaint is that food and beverage prices appear high taking advantage of tourists. Would recommend to friends.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group in August, 2017. The hotel overlooks a huge watering hole, and I spent many hours on the deck, watching herds of water buffalo, impala, kudus, and other animals come and go. In the evening, the watering hole is subtly lit so as to not bother the animals, so we also saw elephants and other species.

Room and location were excellent. Staff were friendly but food service (especially breakfast) was slow. Nice little gift shop. After only one dip we decided that the swimming pools were a bit too cold for us, they would probably be warmer in summer. Shuttle bus into town was well used.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views from the various decks, good food, friendly and helpful staff! August was the perfect time to see this part of the world. Not too hot, and dry enough to see lots of animals.
We stayed at this lodge for three nights as part of a longer safari journey across southern Africa. The Lodge is in a game park and the owners have built a lake down from the Lodge. We were able to see the lake from our room and from the bars and restaurants. It was wonderful. We saw many animals including lots of elephants, zebra, crocodiles, Impala, Buffalo, baboons and many others. It was an ever changing and always interesting parade. Take your binoculars! We ate well. Food was well presented, and the various dining options offered great choices. We did go to the dinner and drum show one night, and while the style was not really our preference, we could see a very large number of people who thought it was great. Our room was overlooking the lake, with glimpses of the falls area, and gave us the privacy and sleep quality we wanted. We also loved the warthogs and mongoose that always seemed to be wandering about outside our rooms. We would certainly return to this place.
