Went to The Grill for the festive set lunch menu. Firstly, I think it was comparatively, one of the better valued set menus for similar hotels this year. The hotel was decorated lovely, the afternoon tea space looked amazing. Service was very good. My main came served without any vegetables and it was quickly resolved, our dessert order got lost and there was quite a wait but that didnt ruin our experience. Water was topped up frequently which sounds like a small thing, but I drink so much of it that I appreciated not having to keep asking for refills! We had to take the mini mince pies home as we were so full, they were placed in a tin tray in a comically large box and smashed to pieces by the time we were home, which made us laugh, perhaps we were the only people asking to take them home 😆. Aside from the couple of little slip ups as mentioned, we had a very nice time.

From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. A gorgeous flower bouquet my partner had arranged was waiting for me on arrival. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and a member of the guest relations team personally came to greet us : a small detail that truly makes a difference. Our room (531) was perfect, with an extremely comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding level of service. Every member of staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. Turndown service was flawless, with thoughtful touches, bathroom amenities used were all the time refilled, no need to ask for anything. Breakfast at The Promenade was outstanding, with excellent food quality and a great selection of eggs. I particularly loved the matcha on the menu, which was prepared perfectly : better than in many other 5-star hotels. The concierge team was exceptional, assisting my partner with multiple reservations, flower arrangements, and recommendations. Late one evening, I thought I had left my camera at a restaurant, and the concierge did everything possible to help locate it. If you’re staying on a Sunday, you must try the Sunday roast at The Grill. If you’re lucky, it will be served by Joy, whose service made me feel incredibly special on my birthday & at breakfast the other mornings. We also enjoyed massages at the spa, with both therapists being excellent. Guests also have access to the spa at 45 Park Lane, which is absolutely breathtaking we visited on a Sunday and had it entirely to ourselves. A special thank you to Jean for her wonderful service. From the beautiful Christmas decorations straight out of a movie to the kind doorman who assisted us on departure, every detail was perfect. Thank you to the entire Dorchester team for making my birthday unforgettable. We can’t wait to be back!

Our 2 night stay at The Dorchester was perfection. Our suite (The Mayfair Suite) was absolutely exquisite, it was hard to leave! The staff of the hotel was so wonderful, friendly and helpful. The decor for the holidays was really gorgeous and our food and drink experiences were excellent. The Vesper bar was especially cool (and the scene where Ian Fleeming signed his contract for the Bond films). The opportunity to stay at this iconic, grand hotel was truly magical and we hope to return in the future. We received our stay as part of a larger trip and I am not sure if the Mayfair Suite will ever be possible again, but our stay there was a holiday experience we will never forget.

customer service is terrible, they dont value customers who are regular customers and dont honour their promises! i am appalled by the way i have been treated and dont recommend this hotel at all, there are better options more luxurious in London

Sadly no longer a five star service at the bar. Staff require training on how to speak to customers and service provided.
