This place is super expensive. They advertise a room for a tad over $1,000, but add the tax and other expenses they have and you have a not too large room. But it is worth it. It is always worth it. We had our daughter's wedding there (some time ago) and we have been back several times. We can't afford to always go there so we pick our times. It is located in Bel Air on a little quiet street. Parking is for a fee. The service can't be beat, planning for an event, they got you, just staying a couple of days they have you are that as well. They speak more than one language. They are just the best. The place is magical. It as ponds with swans, it has the best pool and spa, and the food--well, it is amazing. It matters not if you are there for breakfast or a special dinner. They also have private rooms. It is the best hotel in all of Southern California. Save your pennies and go at least once. Wait until you see all the places to walk and the wine list is the best. Of course they have a full bar.

I have stayed at the hotel Bel-Air a few times before, including Just nine months before this day and always have a nice time so when it came to my mum’s birthday trip and she decided if you wanted to go to Los angeles staying at the hotel Bel-Air with a no brainer to celebrate her and a lovely relaxing place after a long trip from the UK. When I booked I made clear two things - it was her birthday and also that she had mobility issues, both of these things were completely ignored. When we arrived, we were put in the very back room of the property right at the back - far away and up two flights of stairs - utterly inappropriate for her mobility issues it made the trip a real struggle and it was clear we were not welcome guests During our entire day, despite eating in the restaurant regularly going to the bar and generally being around the property not a single old person wished her a happy birthday or even acknowledged that this trip was for her birthday. They had a big wedding for several days we were there that big wedding party took up all of the staffs time resource in hospitality and we were largely ignored something I’ve never seen before at this hotel. They were clearly extremely busy often. I had to phone two or three times to get any basic to answer for basic things like lighting the fire or to bring items that weren’t put in our room, we were missing simple things like shower caps and soap that housekeeping has not replaced. I think we were so far back and nobody really noticed us. On top of the really poor service two days in a row I had to ring to ask them to remove the rugs from our room that housekeeping had left one day of our trip. They left rags in the middle of the floor, on the second time they had left a dirty bag on top of my suitcase the photo was attached. I wouldn’t expect this in a very basic hotel. I certainly wouldn’t expect it for the price I was paying at this hotel. Moreover, for the entirety of our six days that will cobwebs on the lights in both the room in the bathroom I found about this ask them to clean it they said they would but the photographs show they were still there upon departure it was dirty and miserable. I travel to LA a few times a year however this was probably my mum’s only trip and they absolutely ruined it for us. We spent a lot of money had no service and last day was really bad. I’m so disappointed.

I should've posted this long ago, but I have just discovered it in my drafts folder. I’ve stayed at the Beverly Hills Hotel whenever in LA over the past 35 years. I absolutely love it. The incredibly welcoming Mr Steve Boggs who is the director of global guest relations for the hotel told me that I must pay a visit to the Bel-Air. Given that my wife and I are well acquainted with Dorchester group hotels, we did exactly that. This is such a beautiful property especially to arrive at night when the superb approach and illuminated grounds The two receptionists who we met on arriving were simply wonderful, cheerful and funny (see photo). I can so highly recommend this hotel even though I miss the Wolfgang Puck restaurant which used to be on the premises. Dorchester group are just so together… and we got to add a white plastic BelAir swan to our collection of Dorchester ducks. Following our visit we recommend the the hotel to friends in the UK who immediately booked to stay and loved it. Dorchester group hotels are superb. We are so lucky to have one near our UK home in Ascot.

Our stay at the Hotel Bel-Air was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the level of care and attention to detail. Highlights from our visit: Arrival & Service: Landon at valet was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making a busy job look easy. Danny then settled us into our room, demonstrating the tech controls and lighting the fireplace. The Front Desk: Leo at reception truly listened to our request for a quiet room and made us feel like our comfort was his top priority. He even followed up the next day to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Spa & Pool: We enjoyed daily visits to the spa. Tiffany gave a wonderful tour, and Desiree went above and beyond to help coordinate with housekeeping. At the pool, Brian and Juan were incredibly attentive and friendly, making our relaxation time even more pleasant. Housekeeping: The team was so kind, especially Estela, who was a total lifesaver! She went out of her way to help retrieve an item that had been accidentally discarded. Dining: Dinner was spectacular. Gilbert, Luigi, Christian and hostess Amanda took expert care of us. We were especially impressed by Chef Pablo’s creativity with the vegan options—it’s rare to find such thoughtful plant-based dishes at this level. Melissa’s check-in also ensured our evening was perfect. In addition to top-tier service, the Bel-Air offers a lush, secluded setting. A true oasis making you feel worlds away from the hustle of LA. As former Thousand Oaks residents, the local strawberries left in our room were a nostalgic and "tasty" touch that made us feel right at home. Thank you to Shayan and the entire team for a truly memorable experience. We can't wait to return!

I only intended to stay one night, however my other accommodation was disastrous, so I called the hotel at around 11:30 pm asking if they had my room available before my original arrival date, to which the gentleman said they did. I forgot his name, but he was a tall gentleman who I believe said he was a manager and works the overnight. They were kind enough to extend the original rate I booked and I received a complimentary upgrade as well! The spa was also very accommodating to a last minute treatment- I received an amazing 90-minute Swedish massage from Sabrina and it was the best! I will be back!
