Santa Clara Ice Cream
there are several chains of ice cream makers in Guadalajara. Founded in 1927 in the town of Pachuca, Santa Clara dairies produce, to my taste, the best ice cream, sherbets, yogurt, cottage cheese, and other dairy products. The quality of the ice cream is based on the cows from Canadian and United States stocks, which now number 2,200, pampered with carefully planned diets! Ice cream flavors rival Baskin Robbins including Capuccino, various fruits, Rhum Raisin, Chocolate Nut as well as flavors unique to Mexico. (Try the Tequila!)
