When to go to Cancún-High season - roughly Dec. 20 until Easter - is the best time for calm, warm weather. Prices are lower and the weather still decent in April, or from late October to mid-December.

Taxis in Cancún-This is the easiest way to get around, but do we need to say it? Agree on the fare before getting into the car. Most hotels post fares so you know what to expect. Taxis cost more if called by a hotel than if you flag one down, but the security might be worth it. Minimum fares within the hotel zone are about $5; downtown fares are less. Taxis can also be rented by the hour or day.
