The Oberoi, Mumbai

A memorable stay, made special by its people This is from my August stay. I had to wait a few months before TripAdvisor allowed me to post another review, so sharing it now. I spent two nights in an Ocean View Suite and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The suite was quiet, immaculate and beautifully maintained, with a lovely fragrance and a wonderful view. There is something quite special about simply sitting in the room, looking out at the ocean and enjoying the sense of calm. The spa, gym, Residential Lounge and dining were all equally enjoyable. What stood out most, however, was the service. Mr. Arpan Rawal, Executive Operations Manager, reached out before my arrival and made sure I had a quiet room. He also personally visited the suite after check-in and followed up again at checkout. The upgrade and welcome amenities were appreciated, but it was the personal attention that made the difference. The housekeeping team deserves particular praise. Mr. Kaushal was exceptional and, in my experience, one of the most impressive housekeeping professionals I have encountered. His attention to detail and warmth were evident throughout the stay, and the personalised pouch he arranged was a lovely touch. Mr. Vineet and Shim were equally consistent in keeping the suite immaculate and perfectly replenished. These small, thoughtful details are what elevate a luxury stay. The arrival was seamless, with thanks to Ms. Sanika, Mr. Meet, Mr. Mahesh, Ms. Mallika and Ms. Sanchari for the smooth in-suite check-in. I also enjoyed an excellent Oberoi Signature Massage with Zimik, and appreciated Adhiraj from the butler team and Remi from the pool area for their assistance. Breakfast was particularly memorable. I had breakfast in the suite one morning and at Ziya overlooking the ocean on the other. Chef Purvesh took the time to understand my preferences and prepared a customised egg-free French toast, Bengaluru-style benne dosa and a warm salad. Lovinia, Gaurang and Mayur also took great care of the dining experience. A final word of appreciation to Mr. Amit Kaul, General Manager. The consistency of the experience across the hotel is a credit to the leadership and the team. The Oberoi Mumbai gets the important things right: calm surroundings, thoughtful service and an attention to detail that never feels forced. I look forward to returning, perhaps next time to one of the suites overlooking the Queen’s Necklace.

Its in a good location , marine lines . Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms well maitained and clean . food very tasty.

It's a wonderful stay experience. Mr Omkar had asisted me at Mumbai Airport as i had reached laugage belt. Mr Deepak had drive me to the Hotel. It's a smooth & comfortable ride. In hotel, I was welcome by Akashay & Mallika Dasgupta. Mr Lavnish had made my checkin hasselfree. I like the handwitten welcome card by Ms Mallika Dasgupta and her choice of room selection. Ms Esther had served me a welcome drink and cold towel. It's nice talking with Akashay & Lavnish both of then had axssisted me to the room. Mr Heramb & johnsom had handle my laggage carefully. In Eur Bar Ms Aholi & lothi had welcome me. Ms Ayushi new young manager nice talking to her. Captain sameer & sunil had taken my order. Mr Amit ,Shubham, karan, Gaurang & Ms Darlyn, chui, Muani, jecinta had served me my favriote drink. At breakfast time in Ziya Ms Rinlam had arrange a table for me. Mr Yakshendra had personal attended me chef Viraj & Manojan had made my dinning experience delicious. Mr Bhavesh had served it. In fenix Mr. Sidharth Malhotra, Shivan Aggarwal advice made my hitea experince delicious and clinton had served the same. In Housekeeping suprise me every day with their beautiful handwritten card and gift. Ms Katherine hand writting is beautiful Ms bell, Rillu, Ananya, Margarida, senso, Rinhvi & Mr Vaibhav made my stay comfortable. I like Ms Senso & Rinhvi gift my name printed laggage tag and Ms katherine & bella bookmark. It's nice talking to Mr Arpan Rawal he personally take care of my stay was comfortable. Mr Sumit Mehra had arrange me a car for drop me at my meeting point. Mr Santosh had drop me on time. Ms Marralisa keep my room key ready she remind me that she had taken my checkin in Trident narimanpoint before 2024 and trident chennai. Mr Meet, Shobit & Rishi had assisted me. Ms Noor & Siya had made my checkout and Mr Harris had setteled the bill payment hasslefree. Mr Rishi had arrange car for airport drop. Mr Peter, Krishna, SpringSon & Dame had handle my laggage.

Nice hotel and location. Some works going on which spoiled a little bit our stay. Needs more seatings in the lobby. Great transfer service

The people make The Oberoi Mumbai exceptional. I recently spent five nights at The Oberoi Mumbai, and quite simply, the service was exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what makes The Oberoi truly special is its people. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I experienced an extraordinary level of warmth, professionalism and genuine care. I was travelling alone, yet I never felt like just another hotel guest. Staff remembered the smallest details, anticipated what I might need and consistently went beyond what I would ordinarily expect — somehow making it all feel completely natural rather than forced or transactional. A very special mention must go to Noor from the management team, who looked after me wonderfully throughout my stay. Her warmth, professionalism, attention to detail and willingness to help with my various plans around Mumbai made a real difference to my experience. Thank you, Noor! I would also like to recognise the wider team. From housekeeping, front desk and concierge to the restaurants, chefs, security, drivers and management, the consistency of the service was remarkable. It was incredibly polished and professional, but never cold or overly formal. There was warmth, humour and genuine kindness behind it. My departure perhaps summed up the experience best. The care taken over my hotel car transfer and the assistance I received all the way through to airport check-in was far beyond anything I expected and was an extraordinary final touch. There were so many small moments throughout the five days that made me feel genuinely looked after, and those are ultimately what I will remember. I arrived expecting an excellent luxury hotel. I left understanding why The Oberoi has the reputation it does. The building may provide the luxury, but the people provide the experience. A genuine 5 stars from me. Thank you for an unforgettable stay — I very much hope to return.
