The Oberoi, Mumbai

The service at this hotel Oberoi was one of the best service I have ever received from any hotel I have stayed at. I have stayed at many hotels in the world and this is my favourite hotel. The staff service was excellent. The Duty Manger Shivansh Kansal service was excellent. He was very attentive to all the guests and also made sure that my time at the restaurants was very comfortable and helped me with all my requests. The food was superb and was off very high quality. You could tell the ingredients were of very high quality. The Assistant Front Office Manager Meet Aurora service was very good. He made all my requests were attended to and was very helpful. The Spa Team was very good and there service was excellent. The Spa Manager Rajkumari Prativa Devi service was excellent. She and her team were so accommodating and were always ready to help and gave excellent service. Right from the Massage, Gym and Swimming Pool the experience was very memorable. Special Thanks to Santosh for the great service he had provided at the Spa. His service was excellent. The Lifeguard at the Swimming Pool Razak was very helpful and gave excellent service. Limile gave a very good massage.. The other staff Abhay Dombe, Hmingi, Jessica and W,Khongleh Warden service was also excellent. I had an excellent experience at this hotel and was treated like a Rockstar. I will always remember this experience and will definitely come back to this hotel when I am back in Mumbai for my future visits to Mumbai, I highly recommend this hotel.

The Oberoi is without a doubt the best hotel in Mumbai. Forget The Taj with its hordes of tourists and non staying sticky beaks traipsing through the public areas. The Oberoi is an elegant and serene hotel that promises and delivers exceptional service to its guests. The refurbished rooms are a great improvement and worth the additional rate. Breakfast is outstanding. Many have said it before but the most significant aspect of a stay at Oberoi is the service. I was a long stay guest and so had the opportunity to experience service over a longer period of time and the staff not only remembered my name, they also remembered my preferences. Standout staff members as follows: Aman in the bar, Ratika at breakfast, and Mallika and Varun Sharma all of the time. I felt truly cared for. This is not subservient service, rather it is service that is guest focused delivered at a very high level. I wouldn't stay anywhere else

Stayed at The Oberoi, Mumbai and overall had a great experience, with a few areas that could be improved. There were plenty of highlights during the stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a great à la carte selection—especially the salmon and poached eggs. A special mention to Piyal at the Vetro restaurant in the mornings, which I found to be the best spot for breakfast—her service really stood out. Eau Bar is another highlight, with amazing views and great service from Karan. The hotel does a lot of the small things right—glass bottled water is a nice touch, and housekeeping go above and beyond with thoughtful extras like shoe fresheners. The birthday decorations in the room were also a lovely and memorable surprise. Facilities are strong overall. The gym is very good, although it would benefit from adding a cable machine. The spa staff were fantastic—especially Waida for an excellent massage. The pool area is very relaxing, with some nice cabanas to unwind in. Rooms are well designed, with spacious bathrooms and separate showers (something many hotels don’t offer these days), and the bathroom amenities are excellent. The location is another big plus, with great views and lovely walks along Marine Drive. On the downside, there are a few areas where improvements are needed. The spa treatment rooms are too close to the changing areas—I could hear a hair dryer during my massage, which disrupted the experience. The spa area in general could use some attention and renovation. In the room, the TV remote wasn’t working—small details like this are important at this level. Concierge service was inconsistent, with calls not always being answered promptly. One morning at breakfast, the food wasn’t piping hot and had to be sent back. The internet connection was also slow and inconsistent. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent service and thoughtful touches, but it falls just short of a full 5-star experience. Compared to The St. Regis, it doesn’t quite match up, which is why I would rate it 4/5. I would consider giving it another try, but it would likely come down to pricing and incentives at the time of booking compared to The St. Regis.

Great experience of staying in this iconic hotel. The staff were super friendly and took great care of our two kids. Really enjoyed the breakfast also.
