Naples Bay Resort in Naples, Florida

The AAA four-diamond Naples Bay Resort is an enviable address in the midst of Naples, Florida’s most exclusive beach destination. Rent a yacht for the day and explore the inter-coastal waterways between Naples and Marco Island, or dock your own boat at the resort’s marina. A lazy river meanders through the tropical garden courtyard surrounded by Tuscan-style architecture, a perfect respite after a day of boutique shopping on Fifth Avenue South.

Make the journey from your king-sized bed to a private cabana surrounded by coconut palms. Walk through a two-story waterfall cascading into the infinity pool to cool off from the Florida sun. Order a salad with candied pecans and caramelized pineapple to eat with your toes in the water. Discover art galleries and indie boutiques as you stroll through town. Watch the stars come out from the top deck of a yacht.

My wife and I were booked to stay at the hotel for 2 weeks however this was catastrophically interrupted by Hurricane Irma. As visitors from the UK we were at a loss as to what to do when this area of Naples was put under a mandatory evacuation order. Up steps John Reilly the general manager of the hotel who looked after us, along with a small band of other families, throughout. John and his staff helped us prepare for the arrival of Irma by providing torches and helpful advice as to how to get through the storm. Morning briefings were held over coffee and bagels whilst barbecue food was provided later in the day. The hotel was a real safe haven during Irma however like virtually all of SW Florida we did loose power. The hotel staff under John's stewardship looked after us impeccably during this period. This is a quality resort which we cannot praise enough and is the stand out destination for Naples. This was our third trip to Naples Bay Resort and will most definitely not be the last

We relocated here from the keys with the recent hurricane and the hotel and staff were brilliant. We particularly liked the Bonefish Grill and the very friendly barman. The rooms were a lovely standard. The manager of the pool area was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way in very difficult circumstances

Going in July to a family event, we got an incredible rate from a very helpful staff. The double bedroom suite was extremely spacious and lovely. The space had a full kitchen, laundry and living room. We watched the summer afternoon storms from the balcony right over the water. The only downside was that all the shops adjoining the motel were closed and there were very few food options open onsite. But the room made up for that minor inconvenience.

We have been staying at Naples Bay Resort several times now and we will keep coming back. As our traveling party consists of five family members and a personal care assistant the three bedroom apartment is a great choice. As for US in general it’s quite easy to travel with a wheelchair, Naples Bay resort is no exception with all comforts that you come expect from any upper accommodation. Service is great from all aspects, whether seeking concierge, need something fixed or just go about the daily resort life. Altogether the resort with its great location as well as Naples itself offers families the basis for a great vacation. Gym and pool areas are fantastic and offer a variety of choices for training and relaxing. The Spa offers wonderful treatments after a day of exploring the coastline by boat or hiking in to the vast Everglades. Room standard is over all very good and if you come to miss anything most requests are dealt with swiftly and in a professional manor. Rental boats offer at least two different choices of boats for your daily excursions. We found the Everglade boats spacious enough even for bringing a wheelchair. We miss Naples and can´t wait for our next stay.

Checking out tomorrow and we'll all be sad to leave. Like Sara s (review below) we were also here on the 'wettest weekend of the year' - err hello- theres a hurricane causing that lady, not sure what the hotel could do about it. The walkways were obviously wet, but not in any way dangerous (2 x 70+ year olds in our party managed to run cross the open pathways without breaking a hip! Reception were a delight, we arrived early after a tricky journey from Orlando due to the hurricane and our room was made ready for us and wow, what a room- not the best view we've ever had but lovely decoration, brand new kitchen (that I had no intention of using) and lovely comfy beds. The master bedroom had 2 cupboards with ample storage space. I loved that its off season, no one to interrupt my holiday or steal all the sunbeds round the pool. My hubby said this would be the last time we visited Florida while we were in Idrive but after our 4 night stay here he's already hoping to return to Naples.
