My husband and I recently returned from a FABULOUS two week trip to India that we booked directly with Oberoi Exotic Vacations. We worked on our itinerary with Garima Vij a Destination Expert for Oberoi. She was diligent, professional, patient, informative and so kind. The trip she planned was PERFECT! As very seasoned international travelers I can say Garima was absolutely the BEST! She planned every detail of our trip including hotels, transfers between cities, guides for touring, restaurant dinner reservations, spa appointments, special experiences and internal flights. We stayed at five Oberoi hotels/resorts-The Oberoi New Delhi, The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra, The Oberoi Vanyavilas in Ranthambhore, The Oberoi Rajvilas in Jaipur and The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur. NEVER EVER have we experienced in all our 35 years of luxury travel the hospitality, service, attention, and personalization we received at the Oberoi hotels. All that I read about Oberoi Hotels before I took our trip to India still did not prepare us for the MAGNIFICENT hotels and experiences we had at the 5 Oberoi hotels/resorts we stayed in. Many times we had to ask ourselves- is this a dream? It was truly MAGICAL! Each property was STUNNING and so UNIQUE! There is a reason Oberoi was voted “Best Hotel Group in The World.” I will be reviewing each of the Oberoi Hotels I visited separately with the all the details. PART 1- THE OBEROI NEW DELHI This iconic hotel in New Delhi has recently been renovated to the most BEAUTIFUL city hotel we have ever stayed in. It is a GORGEOUS contemporary hotel mixed with Indian influences. Beautiful artwork is featured throughout the hotel. We were greeted upon arrival by the very distinguished Hotel Manager- Jay Rathore. He is so passionate about his hotel and we enjoyed speaking with him on many occasions during our stay. He and his staff made our stay at Oberoi New Delhi beyond belief! What a way to start our India Adventure! We were brought to our room by Prathna and were explained all the details. Everything in the room is High-Tech with Ipad interface to control room lights, blinds, air conditioning, tv channels, newspapers etc. There is a 55” FHD Television , Nespresso Coffee Machine and a fully stocked bar. Also complimentary internet and newspapers. The rooms are LUXURIOUS, with ELEGANT décor. They even have heated toilet seats! No expense has been sparred in this hotel, everything is of the FINEST quality. We stayed in a Oberoi Suite which had BEAUTIFUL furnishings, and the marble bathrooms have a stand-alone shower, soaking tub , double vanities and a mirrored television. The bed had luxurious linens and was so comfortable. There was a walk in closet with abundant storage space. All the toiletries in the room are exclusive to Oberoi and were divine! There were large picture windows with great views. All the rooms have a button you can press for a butler who will provide anything you need. Thanks to Sachin for assisting us. The service is IMPECCABLE! All the staff have the best attitudes and are so attentive. Mona, the Manager of the Luxury Experience was so charming and made us feel so special. She even emailed me with suggestions for shopping for one of the other Oberoi resorts we were going to. It was a pleasure to also meet Udiksha the Hotel Manager who was so lovely to us. What impressed us was how visible all the Managers were during our stay. We were celebrating a special occasion and our suite was filled with beautiful flowers, treats and handwritten notes welcoming us. We ate all our meals at the hotel. The food was so delicious and the venues were so beautiful we didn’t see a need to go anywhere else. We started off each morning in Threesixty° Restaurant that had a huge amazing buffet an à la carte menu that you can also order from. All the chefs and F & B Managers were visible helping us, explaining all the food, then assisting you to your table with your plates. Thanks to Abhi , Simon and Rohit. If we were going on a tour, they asked “What can we pack up for you take on your tour?” We have never experienced that offer in any hotel before. We also had a delicious lunch and dinner here and the restaurant was always packed with guests and locals. Thanks to the wait staff, Jerin, Ujjwal, Ansh, Sarthak. Mayank, and Ruchita for your outstanding service to us. We also had dinner at Omya –their signature Indian Restaurant. The décor and food was FABULOUS! It is an open kitchen with tandoor ovens. Thanks to Chef – Raveleen Singh who helped us on choosing our food and the very attentive wait staff, Ayushi and Rupesh. Everything in the restaurant coordinated, including the plates, silverware, napkin rings etc. It was truly a wonderful dining experience. We also had lunch one day at Baoshuan – a contemporary Chinese rooftop restaurant, with exquisite décor and wonderful food! Thanks to Tashi for providing excellent service and explanations of the menu. Our suite was cleaned to perfection twice a day. The housekeeping staff was fabulous and even wrote us beautiful handwritten notes , gave us gorgeous flowers and other treats. Thanks to Deepak and his team for your superb service to us. Prior to our arrival I emailed the Concierge and Abhinav was very helpful in answering all my questions. The concierge team was outstanding during our stay providing us any information we needed. Cirrus9 their rooftop bar was the place to be every night! It was always packed! It had magnificent views of the city. We went in the evening either before or after dinner. Thanks to Harsh and Alisha our servers. There is a beautiful Resident’s Lounge that we went to for drinks upon arrival. Thanks to Rajat and Chandani. The hotel also has a lovely pool, water elements and Spa. It has it all! If you are looking for THE MOST LUXURIOUS FIVE STAR HOTEL in Delhi with EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE, MAGNIFICENT DÉCOR AND WONDERFUL RESTAURANTS there is only one choice- THE OBEROI NEW DELHI. We can’t wait to return!

I have stayed in a number of excellent luxurious hotels all over the world! Nothing prepared me for the incredible room size at The Oberoi New Dheli! Frankly no other hotel beats it! The decor and overall quality of the one-year long refurbishment is totally worth it! The service is super fine while the restaurants especially the 360 is utterly first class! Behold a King is reborn!!!

We visited 4 Oberoi Hotels: Udaipur, Jaipur, Agra and New Delhi. I wish I could give them each 6 or 7 stars. Unbelievable quality of each property, superbly trained staff and unsurpassable luxury. Traveling through 4 cities, we never touched our bags, Oberoi delivered them to the car, to the airport, to the hotel, to the room and then again to the next city and the next. There was someone to meet us at the airports, someone to pick up our luggage and someone to take us to a waiting Oberoi car. Fantastic and amazing. In 30 years of luxury travel, nothing comes close to Oberoi. And then the gods sent us Mona, who took time off to show us an exclusive part of the city. Movie star beautiful, vivacious, energetic and very professional. And then there was the food, great in every Oberoi restaurant. Thank you Oberoi.

We arrived at the Oberoi Delhi from the Oberoi Agra, courtesy of our lovely driver, Mr. Singh from Avis who is from Agra. The arrival and check-in were seamless. Our room was somewhat small, but everything was new and the room was well designed. We liked the beds, linens, and the sense of security. Our room overlooked the nearby highway, and though the view wasn't so great, the room was well sound-proofed and we couldn't hear any noise from the exterior. The hotel is recently renovated and everything smells and looks new. Although the lobby seems a bit stark, it's welcoming, too. The staff is especially memorable. We had a few problems at breakfast when needing water and coffee, we had to ask for them more than once, but generally, the service was top-notch, especially in Omya at lunch and dinner. The chefs were very receptive to accommodating my partner's Celiac (gluten-free) dining requirements. We were also treated to an exceptional cooking lesson of butter chicken and pakora, paired with a glass of champagne and the opportunity to eat the fruits of our labor. The chef was great about explaining the process and it tasted pretty darn good! ;) The hotel then presented us with a beautifully embroidered folder with the recipes printed on fine paper and a lovely, hand-written thank you note. What great service! ... We enjoyed every meal at the Oberoi and after experiencing the Oberois in Agra and Delhi, we knew that from now on, we need to look for the Oberoi if we want to be sure of having a problem-free stay. This is a superb hotel to stay in in Delhi and it's a good location, proximate to most important sites. An excellent hotel with excellent service.

Recently, after two years of renovation, the New Delhi Oberoi hotel has re-opened. It’s design is both traditional and modern as well as exceptional. The most striking feature is wall after wall of floor to ceiling glass - in bedrooms, restaurants and lounges. The bedrooms have been improved in size, are comfortable with free WiFi, TV and ultra modern bathrooms that include instinctive lavatories. To satisfy your appetite, there are 3 restaurants - the Indian and Chinese headed by Michelin star chefs, the third the all purpose restaurant serving Indian and International cuisine. Perhaps the most fun feature is the roof top bar where every evening you can mingle with locals enjoying the view and the bar. Finally, the Oberoi standard of service is exceptional. Front of house, housekeeping, restaurants,,bars, poolside and general staff are friendly, hospitable and efficient, enthusiastically upholding the Oberoi tradition. Certainly, this is a 5 star hotel you should not miss.
