We stayed in a Cathedral view room (late August–early September) and sadly left a little disappointed. On the plus side, housekeeping was excellent, spotless rooms, very comfortable beds, and great attention to detail. Breakfast staff were great and the food very good, with live violin at Sunday breakfast a nice (if slightly loud) touch. The pool itself was lovely, and the porters/reception were helpful with taxis. Unfortunately, much else fell short of 5* standards. The spa was empty, lacking atmosphere, and even the steam room was switched off unless requested for H&S reasons. Reception staff were efficient but cold, smiles are easy and go a long way, loungers by the pool although comfrotable weren't the cleanest, and the shower design left water spraying everywhere at times. Sounds petty but the ironing situation was very frustrating, irons were “restricted” to 30 minutes at a time, took 20 mins to arrive and often swapped for broken steamers, to the point we hid one behind the curtains so housekeeping wouldn’t remove it. The spa treatments, already overpriced and seemingly outsourced, came with a resident discount which persuaded us to book. After a very messy booking mix-up we were promised an additional discount on top of the hotel’s voucher. This was never honoured, even after we followed the hotel’s request to email our concerns after we had to pay on checkout. A week of back-and-forth emails later, with no resolution or accountability, we gave up, not the level of service anyone should expect from a 5* hotel With €0000s spent, including an upgrade for a partial “Cathedral view” and an extortionate €150 late checkout (€25ph!) which you could only book on the day, the overall experience felt poor value. Sadly, we will stay elsewhere next time in Palma.

Unfortunately we had a terrible time at this hotel - our toilet and shower leaked and we had to complain five times before we were moved. The hotel was a 5 star hotel but it was dirty in places and didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. Our shower leaked in the new room, plates were dirty and breakfast and the sunloungers were dirty and mouldy. Unfortunately the service was not great either - staff forgot our food or gave us the wrong drinks. When we raised this with the hotel upon check out, they sadly did not help as we did not raise each issue at the time. The room had lovely interiors and the actual pool was nice and clean. Overall - would not recommend though.

Another brilliant stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the amazing view from our Seaview and cathedral room and a spacious balcony. Arriving at the hotel after a flight to be given complimentary arrival glasses of Prosecco and to enjoy the marina view is a wonderful experience. The upgrade to the pool area is impressive- the same padded comfortable loungers but the swimming pool itself is fabulous with steps to sit on, stones surround and a decent shallow depth throughout. Water is warmer than the last time we were there and the water clarity is phenomenal. We also ate lunch at the pool restaurant and the food is lovely with good choices. Drinks slightly on the expensive side, but you expect this from a five star hotel. The staff are brilliant, and as formal or friendly as you want them to be. We loved the scents being pumped out throughout the hotel-really gave an elegant feel to it. As somebody else has said, it’s a hike to get down to the pool but once you work out the lifts you are fine. The only slight niggle we had is that during the modernisation of rooms they have removed any sort of dresser table so not many surfaces to put things on! But the rooms do look wonderful. Apart from the hotel there’s not many things to do around the hotel in terms of bars and restaurants- seems to be in the middle of a bit of a nightlife area but it’s never loud or threatening and we walked back happily from Palma each night. We had late flights back and were able to spend the whole day at the hotel and the reception staff gave us a courtesy room in the early evening to get showered and changed, which was a lovely bonus. Can’t wait to return next year.

Had a lovely week away in this hotel. Was a bit apprehensive after reading a couple of recent reviews (one in particular) but now I’ve been I think the person that left it obviously has never been on an 18-30s holiday to Magaluf in the 90s if this is the worst hotel they’ve ever stayed at lol. It’s far from it and I would take that review with a large pinch of salt. My room was lovely, a good size, amazing bathroom and a small dressing area. It didn’t have a balcony or a spectacular view but for all the time I was in the room I didn’t mind. I could take in the amazing view from breakfast on the terrace. The staff at the hotel were great, always pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping the room immaculate and the turn down service at night was a nice touch (if a little early some nights). Pool area was great, it was clean, plenty of beds with comfortable mattresses and always fresh towels available. Staff around the pool were lovely too. It is a bit of a faff getting to it but it’s not the long expedition some people mentioned. The hotel’s big selling point is its spectacular views of the marina and cathedral. It’s a bit of a walk from the old town, particularly in the heat, but taxis were always available and were around €8. I loved that so many of the taxi drivers in Palma are female too. The streets around the hotel are hit and miss, there’s a few nice restaurants and bars but wander too far back and streets get a little rougher around the edges. It never felt unsafe though. My one and only criticism of the hotel would be that there isn’t an iron available in every room. This is something I’d always expect in a 5 star hotel and it was a bit of a pain having to request one for 30 minutes every time I needed to use one. Housekeeping always brought one quickly when asked though. Overall a fantastic hotel and I’d definitely look at staying here again when back in Palma.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve stayed in. We were in the hotel 1 hour before asking politely to leave. We said the hotel was no way to standard. We offered them 1 night stay (they said no) we offered for them to keep all the money and we will spend at another melia resort (they said no can only credit back to this hotel) basically we are stuck in an appalling hotel, with views like I’ve attached (bare in mind this is an upgrade apparently) Girl on reception was shocking! Attitude was so poor. We ended up speaking to a manager and she was nice but could offer us nothing! This is a 3 star hotel and gutted we have to spend 5 nights here. BEWARE We’ve also been told to call head office (which we did) and they said they can’t do anything either,
