Reviews for Gran Melia Victoria
Just back from a week in Palma and at this hotel. It was a great choice of hotel. We stayed in one of the side view rooms so had a view of the marina and a small space to sit outside. The rooms are so much better than the website pictures show. Huge beds, bathrobes, clarins toiletries, carpeted rooms and hallways (keeping it so quiet!). We didn't eat at the hotel as we wanted to be out and about. But the dry bar is perfect for pre or post dinner drinks. The hotel is about a 20 min walk into the city centre, a nice walk along the front and great if you want to hire a bike too. Pool area gorgeous, the sunbeds have thick foam covers and the pool guy looks after everyone. The pool needs a brave person to go in - it's freezing. But hey, the sun was shining. If you book direct with the hotel and join the loyalty club you get 20 euros to spend in the hotel bar/restaurants. Saved us 100 euros - even better! I'd go back here in a flash.

The hotel was expensive but overall was worth it. All the staff were very respectful and attentive. Lovely setting overlooking the marina. Made us a surprise birthday cake at our evening meal and toasted the event with a glass of Cava! each!

The refresh and refurbishment is finish. New lighting around check in area. Lounge bright and light. Red Level lounge also re-furbished in soft colours. Comfortable without being too prissy. Rooms with sea views are the better views of the bay of Palma. Eating breakfast on the terrace watching the cruise ships dock is delightful.

After 4 days in Barcelona, it was the perfect place to relax and look at the sea. We had a full view of the sea. The room is spacious with comfortable furnishing. We had a large king size bed. The view from the room was outstanding. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the boats come in and out of the harbor. We had breakfast in the outdoor restaurant. From the moment you enter the hotel you know you are in for a treat. The staff is exceptional. I accidentally left some things in the room after we left. Javier went above and beyond to ship the items to our hotel in Barcelona before we left Spain.. We had a splendid time and wished we would have had more time in Palma.

We booked a standard room as wanted to have as much money left on our budget to spend once in Palma. We booked room only, but we were not expecting such an underwhelming looking room. Very ordinary and small. The bathroom was even smaller and no pretty sea view to enjoy. Staff were ok. Certainly polite and well meaning but the whole hotel had very little atmosphere, which in a Spanish hotel is usually in abundance. Lastly we decided to have breakfast the second morning we woke up and were charged 29 euros for a very mediocre spread. We've had better at 3 star hotels in the past. Disappointing and pricey.
