Was visiting friends in Paphos, and wanted to keep my trip to a budget (of sorts) having previosuly stayed at the Elysium this was more than I wanted to commit to so came across The Annabelle via the British AIrways website and booked Hotel and Flight together. To claify I was not looking for the best room in the hotel, so was more than happy to see that I had been allocated an inland view. What i actually got was room 201 which is of reasonable size, perfect for my needs but it actually has a partial sea view, at first I thought I would be looking at the wall but a small turn to the left and you get a view over the dining areas and pool and out to sea. This room is tucked away in corner though, so maybe not for everyone, for me however it had a well shaded balcony (small) but perfect for siting outside reading without getting burnt to a crisp At the time of the booking there was an offer from the hotel of a free upgrade to Half board for stays of five nights or more, and whilst I wasnt fully able to take advanatge of this on every evening, on the couple that I did choose to dine in the experience was a good one, generally buffet or carvery style, and good quality. Breakfast was also equally good. One comment I would make is that on one evening I wanted to treat my friends to a meal in the hotels Amarosa restaurant, but found that it was impossible to book the A'la Carte menu as instead they were holding a themed Wines of the World set dinner, which tunred out to to be fine but not being massive drinkers the wine tasting was somewhat lost on my firends, and it owuld have been nice to experience the wider menu. Staff were all really friendly and professional at all times, and a special mention has to go to the housekeeping service who delivered a perfect yet unobtrusive service. The free wifi was also reliable in my room and around the hotel. If I have one real criticism its not with my actual stay, but with the follow up marketing that I received after checkout, I find it really frustrating that when I receive a survey request that is addressed to "Mr/Ms Surname FirstName Mr" to my mind this soemwhat takes away form the great service I received at the hotel, and in this day and age its so simple to get things like thi right as the Hotel has the relevant data but just fails to implement it correctly.

Just returned from our 2nd stay at the Annabelle hotel and again had another wonderful time. Everything from the staff the food and the location is excellent. Celebrated our birthdays and anniversary while there to which we received a lovely cake. Hope to return again next year.

2nd visit. It's not 5 star but only down to the fact that it needs refurbishing (which they are on with) The staff, location and overall usual stuff are all 5 star. My negatives are only observations as they need addressing by the hotel and are that the staff in the pool area bars are under staffed. Only bothered us a bit waiting to get served but at the prices you shouldn't have to wait. All other areas have more than enough to cater for your needs. 5 star? No it's a 4 1/2 star which will be back up to 5 very soon I'm sure. Also need to mention they do a few extra nice touches like bringing a free iced drink of the day round and a cold hand scented towel to the pool area I love these little extras. Overall verdict is you can't go far wrong with this hotel if you don't mind a little dated decor (as I said they are updating as I review Sept 2017) but we had fun with its imperfections so don't let it put you off

The Annabelle is located near the Harbour and is very close to the sea but the nearest Sandy beach is a reasonable walk away and not that big, the best beach is Coral Bay which is about 20 minutes on the local bus (1.5 euro each way). The Hotel is very nice with very helpful reception staff and a laid back feel, the pool area is really good with free towels and plenty of sunbeds. The rooms were good with tea and coffee making facilities a good selection of toiletries a large comfortable bed and plenty of storage space + free wi fi. The food was excellent the breakfast the best I've ever had and very tasty evening meals, The best thing of all was the 5 Star service from all the staff with a special mention to Megan and Laslo in the dining area. We went on the jeep tour to the Troodas mountains which was great the local bus service is cheap and reliable. The only slight disappointment was that the evening entertainment was limited but overall this is a lovely hotel with wall to wall sunshine.

We are currently starting our 2nd week at the Annabelle. Firstly, I hope all my spelling and grammar is correct otherwise how could you take this review seriously!? The rooms are dated for a 5 star hotel but are apparently due for some renovation/updating in January and February 2018. Nevertheless, they are perfectly comfortable and fully functional. The food in the Fontana buffet restaurant is reliably good with breakfast verging on excellent. All bread and pastries are made in-house and to put the quality into perspective, Paul Hollywood was the baker at the Annabelle in the 1990s. The sun terraces and promenade sun bathing areas are clean with good quality sun loungers and plenty of room - no over crowding. The sun loungers cannot be reserved before 8 a.m and the rush mentioned in other reviews simply does not occur. Service is professional and attentive without being overbearing - all in all it's exactly right for the price you pay to stay here. The hotel would not suit young couples or families as there isn't the entertainment available for those types of guest. However, if you are looking for a relaxing break with like-minded mature people then the Annabelle is definitely for you. We are a couple in our early 50s with a young outlook on life and have really enjoyed our stay so far. It looks like we'll be back. Well done Annabelle and all its staff.
