My husband and I were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. After just a little walking around on the floors we all had absolutely black feet. The mattresses were not encased in protective covering to protect us from bed bugs, and many of the lighting fixtures didn't work. The rooms are desperately in need of updating and refreshing. We would have expected the quality of the rooms and service to be on par with what we paid for our experience.

Very nice resort. Can be expensive but just watch for specials. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We've stayed here in years past. Lots of things to do on property, however, choice of food is limited but there are good choices off property within 3 miles.

We stayed at Paradise Point from Jul 5-8. Overall, the weather was fantastic, location of the resort is perfect and we had a great time together with family and friends. I would absolutely recommend this resort, but the resort staff and management have a lot of work to do to improve their customer service. In all honesty, except for one person we spoke with in customer service, I am not sure anyone really cared about any of the issues we had. I think they know they have a great property so they will deal with any fallout from bad reviews as the resort books out no matter what. Not sure that's a winning approach long term, but it was the impression I left with. CHECK-IN - As you have likely seen from other reviews, check-in at this place is total chaos. We asked for early check-in, which was not guaranteed and I understand, but we didn't get our room until 5:30pm the first night. There were at least 10 other families waiting for rooms when we finally got ours at 5:30pm. ROOMS - The first room we had was the Bayside Bungalow (1 BR Suite) in Paradise Cove. While the room was nice, big and renovated, it was the last bungalow on the resort and right next to a public parking lot and bathroom that homeless people were bathing in when we arrived. There were also no pools in the general vicinity, and didn't feel very safe at night (i.e. leaving the doors open.) Lastly, room 543 was NOT on the beach, it was on a rock jetty so I would avoid any room in this general vicinity. The second room we had after a room change was the Bayside Junior Suite, which was awesome. It was on the other side of the resort, had a little sand bar for the kids to play on, fire-pit outside the room etc. I don't think there is a better room on the entire resort. BEACH & POOLS - We didn't spend much time at the pools as we were on the beach doing water sports most of the time. We were right near the lagoon pool which was small and the kids had fun, but we didn't go there to sit around the pools. DINING - We ate at Tidal one night (great food, view, spendy) and Barefoot Bar with friends another night. Food across the board is good, just a little expensive, but it's to be expected at a place like this. We're local to San Diego, so looking forward to coming back, and hope the management makes some changes on the positive.

We had a great time at Paradise Point Resort and spa. We rented 2 Lanai rooms, and couldn't have been happier! Most of the rooms are separate buildings, so it was nice and quiet most of the time. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable, and there was always plenty of hot water. We love the tropical look of the whole resort. . It was nice to be able to go down to the beach without having to leave the property. There were four or five pools, and walking trails with ponds throughout the resort. And seeing the ducks and birds made it really fun. For cleanliness, I would rated it a seven. Everything looks clean but when you really look, it is a little dirty. So, if you are a clean freak, I would bring some cleaning wipes. They do offer a military discount, and I highly recommend that. It is right across from the Valley View casino and Sea World. And we would also love to suggest eating breakfast at The Broken Yolk.😁😁😁 we did not find this restaurant until the last day there. And it was so good!

The Paradise Point Resort & Spa is an excellent family vacation property. There are a lot of different things to do and see on the property, many different restaurants with all kinds of food types, and very close to many fun areas of San Diego.
