We are frequent guests at Stowe Mountain Lodge and found spring time an unfortunate time to visit The resort is closed as well as most of the town eateries and shops. The mountain was closed for the season, leaving in between weather conditions, and not many activities to choose from-

We were at the resort for a wedding. It was beautiful and despite the sleet, freezing rain and snow we all had a great time. It is a great location but a few things were closed for the season despite ski lifts still being open.

Nice getaway. This was a good getaway. While not cheap, this is a very top flight accomadation. Our dinner at Solstice was innovative and tasty. The timer gas fireplace in the room was very nice too. Second time here. Both times we saw a show at Spruce Peak Performing Arts center, which is just across the road.

This was our first of what will become many trips to the Stowe Sugar Slalom Ski Race. On advise from a friend we chose to stay at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. What a decision! We were located right in the action. Could look out our window and see the race hill. Being a 2 minute walk made for an excellent between run rest area. Eating lunch in the room vs the busy cafeteria area, Priceless. The room while on the expensive side was excellent. The in room food too was expensive but well worth the expense. Staff at the Mountain Lodge are excellent, helpful, happy and above all truly seemed to be interested in our opinion. This was a great trip all around and has inspired us to plan on returning again next April.

The ski in ski out was ideal and location was great, but the experience was not so great. We arrived late in the evening after a 6 hour drive to have poor customer service at the front desk. I asked a simple question and the lady gave attitude in her answer, that didn’t even answer the question. After we unloaded everything into the room we asked where we could get food everywhere was closed except a bar a few miles down the road. The valet lost our keys and we waited over a half hour just to get the car. The next morning at the ski valet they lost our poles. We waited around a while being told they were in multiple locations. The staff always seemed very busy and would just push people aside. I was not pleased. On top of all this I was unaware of the 25% off deal for tickets bought 48 hours in advance so I ended up paying full price for a ticket too! The hotel needs better communication with guest. Not everyone has been there before and know the routines.
