Ultimate Adventure Glasgow

Destination(s): Glasgow

You really can have the ultimate adventure in Glasgow. A lot of the activities obviously are outside the city centre (40-45 min drive max) So hotels in the loch side have been given for dining and for possible accommodation should you choose to stay out with the city centre.

Be sure though to visit the recommended restaurants, bars and clubs in Glasgow city and on the loch side, they always come good! You may want to only take a few activities from this guide, keep in mind that you can take the helicopter trip to Loch Lomond or like the majority there are First buses and trains that run regularly to Alexandria and Balloch.

Paintball Alexandria offers a great deal on off-road 4x4 trips and really is worth a visit. You can also hire bikes at Lomond shores and head off along the loch or into Balloch park. The shopping and eating places there are good and quite reasonable.

Duckbay is highly recommended as offers a stunning spot to enjoy Loch Lomond over a meal or a drink or two. The pubs in Balloch are quaint and have a country feel with the bonus of a loch side setting. All in all a terrific Glasgow adventure that may just see you returning to do all the activities in this guide! read more about Ultimate Adventure Glasgow

For over 20 years the Sub Club has blasted tunes from deep below number 22 Jamaica Street.  Recently voted 10th Best Club in the World by ResidentAdvisor.net and voted in the top 30 in the world by DJ Magazine 2008. It's both a live music venue and a club destination that's undergoing a resurgence of popularity with the  young crowd. A Bodysonic dance floor, which pulsates the bass up through your feet, was installed a few years ago and it's always packed and clammy, but that's what gives it its atmosphere!

Expect the best music on the best sound systems and plenty of international artists. Weekend in, weekend out, you can find the best of the city's music makers playing to the hedonistic following on top notch sound  systems. The Optimo event which ran every Sunday for over 10 years ended earlier this year, with clubbers flying in from all over the world to attend . The Sunday slot has been replaced by Hung Up, which evolved from the intense affection  that greeted the final ever Optimo. Hung Up! will become an event based primarily on a bill of guest DJ drawn from the Optimo team peers and DJ mates  from the Glasgow clubbing scene and strengthened by live performances from bands selected by the Optimo team.
