General Questions
Q. How do I register?
A. 
From our home page, simply click on the SIGN UP link, and fill in the information in the spaces provided. Please be sure to make a note of your username and password for future use. Be certain to safeguard your password from unauthorized use. You will be responsible for bids placed using your username and password.
Q. How do I access "My Account"?
A. 
Simply log on by clicking the SIGN IN link. Your customized "My Account" page can be accessed directly via the My Account link located above the main navigation bar of the LuxuryLink.com Homepage.
Q. How do I make changes to "My Account"?
A. 
Your customized "My Account" page provides links to "Update Account Info" or "Update Preferences". Simply click on the appropriate link. "Update Account Info" includes Personal Information, Shipping Information, or Billing Information/Credit Card Information. "Update Preferences" includes all your favorite destination, travel styles, or other preferences.
Q. Do you have an on-site search function?
A. 

Luxury Link has several ways to search. You may browse within the Travel Offer tab noted on our navigation tool bar which appears at the top of your screen. Once you have retrieved a results page within Auctions, Buy Now Offers or Portfolio you may utilize the Refine Results tool to narrow your search parameters even further.

You may search more directly by utilizing our Travel Search feature. Travel Search appears on virtually all pages in the upper right corner of the page (look for the gray box). The Travel Search enables you to search all our current Auctions & Buy Now Offers by destination, month and by month.

If you wish to search Auctions & Buy Now Offers and/or our Portfolio (all Luxury Link partners including those with and without current live offers) using expanded criterial, click the Advanced Search link within the Travel Search box.

Q. What types of payment are accepted by Luxury Link?
A. 
Payment can be made by credit card only. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
Q. How do I submit my credit card information?
A. 

1. You can enter your credit card information online at any time through your "My Account" profile.

2. Auction winners can enter payment information via the "submit payment info" button on your "Winner notification" email.

3. Contact one of our Auction or Reservation Associates at either our U.S. Toll Free number (888) 297-3299 or from Outside the U.S. at (310) 215-8060. (Regular business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm Pacific Time)

Credit Card information entered in advance of a winning bid is retained on file and will automatically be utilized for charges of any subsequent winning auction packages. NOTE: For "Buy Now" packages, your credit card will not be charged until your travel dates have been confirmed.

Q. Can anyone enter the "Win a Trip" contest?
A. 
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Those residing in states and/or countries in which sweepstakes are unlawful are not eligible. Employees of Luxury Link, LLC and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and/or those living in the same household of the above are not eligible. About Our Travel Packages
Q. What are "Buy Now" Offers?
A. 
These are offers that can be purchased at a fixed price without bidding, and include "Best Buy" packages and "Book A La Carte" customized hotel only reservations.
Q. Is the price listed per person, or the total for two people?
A. 
Our Auctions and "Buy Now" offers are generally priced and based on two people sharing accommodations; any exceptions will be noted in the "Additional package restrictions" section on the offer page. The price listed is a total for two, unless otherwise noted.
Q. How do I know if my preferred dates are available?
A. 

FOR AUCTIONS: If your travel dates are restricted or limited, we suggest you contact the property prior to placing a bid to inquire about general availability, for your preferred dates, in the room category of the package. Please note that availability can and may change between the time of your inquiry and the close of the auction. Because our auctions are non-refundable, the more flexible your dates are, the better this type of purchase will work for you. From the time the auction closes and we are advised of your credit card details, there is a maximum 24 hour window of time while we process your payment before you will receive specific reservation instructions and contact information.

Please note auction prizes may not be substituted for existing reservations. As stated in our auction rules, the participating supplier may decline auction winners attempting to replace an existing booking with an auction prize.

FOR "BUY NOW" OFFERS: We also sell luxury vacation packages that can be purchased with no bidding. Luxury Link can confirm your dates prior to your purchase of "Buy Now" offers.

Q. What are bonus miles?
A. 
"Bonus Miles" refers to mileage credits on your choice of American Airlines or Delta Airlines. Mileage credits are authorized and submitted by Luxury Link to the respective carrier approximately 7 days after receipt of final payment for your Luxury Link Travel Package. Redemption of Luxury Link "Bonus Miles", availability of "Bonus Miles" for use, and application of Luxury Link "Bonus Miles" to airline frequent flier partner carriers are all subject to participating airline mileage reward program rules. You must provide your Delta or American Airlines frequent flyer account information to Luxury Link for posting.
Q. Are taxes and service charges included?
A. 
In most cases, hotel and government taxes do apply. If those charges are included in the package it will be clearly stated on the offer page, listed among the inclusions. Any feature not specifically listed in the inclusions is not included in the offer package price. Any applicable tax, service charge, or other charges not listed in the inclusions are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Q. How soon do I have to make my reservation request?
A. 

FOR AUCTIONS: You may make reservations with the travel provider after you receive verification of your purchase which will be within 24 hours after receipt of your payment. In general, for best availability, we recommend you make your arrangements as soon as possible and ideally no less than 30 days prior to your intended arrival date. Your Package Purchase Verification notice will include specific reservation instructions and contact information.

FOR "BUY NOW" OFFERS: A Luxury Link representative will contact you after receipt of your online request. Reservations can be made at that time or as soon as you have your preferred travel dates, subject to availability. "Book A La Carte" reservation date requests are sent to the hotel immediately upon receipt of your submission.

Q. Do you offer family packages/can I bring my child(ren)?
A. 
Most of our packages are priced based on two adults sharing accommodations. If you are interested in one of our current offers and wish to bring your child, we recommend that you contact the property prior to placing a bid to inquire about their family policy and any additional charges. To view a listing of properties that welcome families and offer special activities just for children, select Travel Offers on the navigation tool bar at the top of your screen, followed by Style and Family-Small Groups. You may contact these properties directly for prices and other information.
Q. Do you offer packages for the solo traveler?
A. 

Unless otherwise noted, all of our "Buy Now" and Auction packages are based on two adults sharing accommodations. Solo travelers are welcome to bid and/or take advantage of our packages, however, there will be no adjustment made to the price for unused or reduced use inclusions or amenities as published. IMPORTANT NOTE: Luxury Link allows a single traveler option on the Book A La Carte option. Select Travel Offers on the navigation bar at the top of the Luxury Link.com Homepage, then click on BOOK A LA CARTE in the secondary navigation.

Q. How do I purchase travel insurance for my trip?
A. 
Luxury Link recommends purchasing travel insurance protection through a reputable Travel Insurance firm. There are many from which to choose; contact your personal insurance agent for a referral.
About the Auctions
Q. How do I place a bid?
A. 

FOR SINGLE AUCTIONS: Enter the Maximum Bid you are willing to pay on the auction page and then click on the Place Bid button. You will receive a response to confirm the bid amount. After you have confirmed your bid, click the Confirm Bid button. You will be returned to the auction page showing that your bid has been accepted.

FOR DUTCH AUCTIONS: Enter you desired bid in the bid box and click the place bid button. You will receive a response to confirm the bid amount. After you have confirmed your bid, click the Confirm Bid button.

THE BEST SHOT AUCTION allows you to set the price you are willing to pay. You may only submit just one bid for these auctions, so be sure you take your "Best Shot"! You will receive a response to confirm the bid amount. After you have confirmed your bid, click the Confirm Bid button.

Q. What is a Maximum bid/Automatic Bidding System?
A. 

Luxury Link uses an Automatic Bidding System to make bidding on Single Auctions more convenient and less time-consuming. Using the new system is simple and secure – when you find the trip you want at auction, simply enter your "maximum bid amount" (the most you are willing to pay) and Luxury Link’s automatic bidding technology does all the work for you.

The system will place bids on your behalf using our standard bid increments, but will only bid as much as necessary to ensure you remain the high bidder. It will keep bidding for you until bidding reaches your maximum amount. This means coming back to the site to re-bid each time someone else places a bid on your item is no longer necessary. If another bidder has placed the same bid before you or a higher maximum bid, Luxury Link will send you an email to let you know that you have been outbid so that you can place another bid if you choose. If no other bidder has a higher maximum bid at the end of the auction, you will win the auction even if your last proxy bid doesn’t go as high as your maximum bid.

Remember, you will never pay more than your maximum bid and you may pay far less!

Please note: Dutch, Best Shot and $1 Mystery auctions do not support maximum bidding.

Q. What are bid increments?
A. 

Luxury Link's Automatic Bidding System (also known as Proxy Bidding) places bids on the bidder's behalf using the following bid increments. The "bid increment" is the amount by which a bid will be raised each time the current bid is overtaken. The bid increment is predetermined based on the "current high bid".

Here is how Luxury Link bid increments are determined:

Note: If there are 2 or more maximum bids at the same amount, the first bid recorded in the database by date and timestamp is the successful bid.

Q. Can I retract a bid?
A. 
In order to protect the integrity of the auction process, we are unable to retract a bid for any reason.
Q. How do I know if my bid has been accepted?
A. 
Upon placing a bid, a page should display asking you to reconfirm your bid. Once your bid has been successfully recorded you will be returned to the auction on which you are bidding. A message in the information box at the top of the page will confirm you are the high bidder and your user name will appear as the "High Bidder". Please note for Best Shot Auctions your message will confirm you have submitted a successful bid but your user name will not be displayed. In addition, an email notice will be automatically generated confirming receipt of your bid.
Q. How do I track an auction on which I have bid?
A. 
Links to current auction offers in which you are participating as a bidder will be automatically be reflected in the "Auctions You Are Bidding On" section of your "My Account" page.
Q. How do I know if I've won?
A. 
If you are a winning bidder, an email notification will automatically be generated at the close of an auction to your Registered e-mail address on file in your account. If you have a credit card on file, your card will automatically be charged and the auction package secured in your name. If you are a new bidder, or an existing Registered user without a credit card on file, please enter payment information via the "submit payment info" button on your "Winner notification" email. Once a credit card is obtained, it is placed on file, and remains in your account to facilitate future automatic purchases for winning bids unless you specify otherwise.
Q. How do I find Auction Rules?
A. 

Auction Rules, Terms & Conditions and FAQ's can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate links located in the bidding area on every auction offer page. You may also access this information by clicking on the "About Us" link located at the bottom left of any LuxuryLink.com page.

The most important rules to note are: All bids are binding. By placing a bid, you are agreeing to purchase the package if you are a winning bidder at the close of the auction.

Luxury Link must receive payment (in the form of a credit card number with expiration date and billing address) within 24 hours of the auction closing or by the end of the next business day. All sales are final. Auction packages are non-refundable.

Q. Will I be notified if I am outbid?
A. 
Although an email notification will automatically be generated if you are outbid, actual delivery of the email may be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to limitations and conditions of your internet service provider. This is especially important to keep in mind during the final minutes of the auction. Therefore we recommend monitoring the auction page, and refreshing your screen often.
Q. Why do Single and Dutch auctions sometimes keep going after the posted closing time?
A. 
Single and Dutch auctions are designed with an extending bidding condition to mimic the "real world" auction gavel process of "going, going, gone", and to provide as many bidders as may desire to participate in the final exciting phases of a popular auction, to do so. Therefore, a Single or Dutch auction will close at the posted closing time or five minutes after the last bid is received, whichever is later.
Q. What if I will be away at the end of an auction?
A. 
Per the auction rules, payment must be processed within 24 hours of auction close, or by the next business day. We suggest that you contact us before the close of the auction with your credit card number, expiration date and billing address, or enter it online in the secure "My Account" section, accessible from the LuxuryLink.com Homepage. This allows us to secure the package in your name in the event you are a winning bidder and you are not available.
Q. I don't live in the United States. Can I participate in the auctions?
A. 
You may bid on our packages regardless of which country you live in. Please be sure to provide us with your country code along with your telephone number when completing your Registration. This will make it easier for us to contact you, should you be a winning bidder. Please note that full payment is required within 24 hours of the auction closing, or by the next business day, Pacific Time, regardless of what time zone you are in.

Q. How do I search for a particular city package?
A. 
You can instantly search for a particular city package simply by entering the city name in the search box located on our navigation tool bar. Or by clicking on the "Advanced Search" link located in the grey "Travel Search" box in the right-hand column of the LuxuryLink.com Homepage. Just enter your desired City in the keyword box, continue by refining any other parameters of your search in the subsequent item sections, and then click "Search" at the bottom left of the page. Remember, using a "keyword" will produce any listing with that word included in the offer text.
Q. How do I search by travel date?
A. 
Use the "Travel Search" function located at the top of the right hand column on each page. Begin with the "drop down" destination menu or keyword box to search by main geographic region. Next, select your preferred travel month from the "drop down" month of travel menu. Continue by refining any other parameters of your search in the subsequent item sections, and then click "Search" at the bottom left of the page to commence your search. The page will return a selection of results from which to choose.
Q. How do I search for a package highlighting a particular activity or syle/destination (i.e., golf, ski, beach, spa, epicurean)?
A. 
Begin your search by clicking on the "Advanced Search" link located in the grey "Travel Search" box in the right-hand column of the LuxuryLink.com Homepage. Just enter your desired destination in the keyword box and in the Style section, select those package or destination "styles" that you prefer to view. Don't forget to click "Search" at the bottom left of the page!
Q. How do I find "Book A La Carte" (previously known as "Custom Trip Builder")?
A. 
Click on the Travel Offers tab in the main navigation bar on the LuxuryLink.com Homepage, then select the "Book A La Carte" link in the secondary navigation line.
Q. How do I find the LuxeLife Boutique Auctions?
A. 
Click on the "Auctions" tab in the main navigation bar on the LuxuryLink.com Homepage, then select the "Luxury Link Boutique" in the secondary navigation line.
Q. How do I access "My Account"?
A. 
Your customized "My Account" page can be accessed directly via the tab located in the main navigation bar of the LuxuryLink.com Homepage. You will need your Registered User Name and Password to enter your account.

The auction you want to "watch" will then automatically be linked into your "My Account" page for easy review.
