Something on every traveler’s bucket list should be to watch a sundown over a South African game reserve. Luxury Link has the honor of partnering with the Mantis Collection to offer travelers a unique and unprecedented look at South Africa. We spoke with William McClain, to learn more about what travelers can expect as they venture through unforgettable South Africa.
William McClain, “The Mantis Collection tour on Luxury Link allows travelers to experience three key areas of South Africa – including a safari experience, bringing everything together to provide the perfect luxury adventure experience.”
As a guest you will visit three resorts, The Last Word Constantia, Grand Roche, and Sanbona. Each property is unique and allows you to taste the richness of the area.
Just 25 minutes outside of Cape Town, you will visit the intimate property The Last Word Constantia, where couples can savor the romantic atmosphere and enjoy fabulous dining and vineyards. If you desire the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, it is a short drive where you can explore historical Robin Island, go shark cave diving, and visit Table Mountain.
Next in the collection is Grand Roche, “Located the Paarl Wine Valley, this resort feature’s one of the finest restaurants in all of South Africa. I am pleased to say we have one of the best sommeliers on the planet,” says McClain. Here guests can enjoy private terraces and sip wine in a historic and spectacular getaway.
The final days of your journey with the Mantis Collection ends at Sanbona a one of a kind property. Guests stay in a Dwyka tented lodge. Sanbona is one of the largest private game reserves in all of South Africa.
Guests can see roaming rhino, cheetah, elephant and the famous white lions. On the 133,000 acres travelers will see entirely different landscapes as they experience a true safari.
McClain says the one thing you cannot miss while staying in Sanbona, “Be ready for sundowners in the afternoon your gamer will take you to a beautiful mountain lookout, unpack your favorite beverages and snacks get out of the vehicle and watch the sunset – to experience what South Africans call a sundowner.”
