I really enjoyed reading your excellent blog on Montreal. As a Torontonian, I have travelled to this cosmopolitan Quebec city a number of times over the past 40 years starting with a most memorable one in 1967 to visit Expo 67 on the then, newly-made island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. Since that time, my wife and I have enjoyed several trips to Montreal where we've walked up to the top of Mont Real (the Royal Mountain) for the fabulous view over the city below, enjoyed delicious lunches and dinners at excellent restaurants in Old Town, watched a baseball game at the Olympic Stadium that matched the now extinct Montreal Expos team against the New York Mets, and walked the streets to various tourist destinations. I echo your view that Montreal is a wonderful city to visit.
Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Montreal! Just wondering if you were lucky enough to purchase a package from LL.
I can add my great praise for Montreal as a fantastic city to visit. It has a cultural ambienance that is very European, you just walk out your door and there are so many things to do or not to do and just find an open cafe and sit with your latte and watch the people going by. Again, another great city that has great transportation for the tourist.....l'underground, buses street cars, bikes and of course lots of walking. Tire yourself out during the day and head back to your hotel for a drink and a little nap. Now you are ready for a lovely dinner and a show, possibly at the same place. Late night dancing and always the coffee shops guraantee you will always have someone to meet and talk to in Montreal. Wayne
