Glad to hear you will go to Abano for several days. The package we brought last
year was for 3 nights and included breakfast, dinner, and 2 massages that were fabulous. The town itself is very small, the pedestrian zone is great for walking after dinner with many shops and cafes. The hotel has bikes to use, we enjoyed riding
around the town and exploring. We ventured to Padua one day but couldn't find ther entrance to the town as our GPS kept turning us around to where we began. I understand there are some interesting sights there, as well. In Trieste the port is very beautiful, we visited the old Roman Theater and, mostly, prepared for our race.
Seems like everyone recommends going to Croatia from there; we didn't have time as we had already been to Milan, Bolzano (fabulous town if you have time), Verona
so we were ending our trip in Abano after visiting Trieste. I am sure your trip will be wonderful - if I can offer any other suggestion, please feel free to ask. This year we are going to Marseilles, and touring Provence. Just purchased the 3 night package in Cannes, wish they had more offers in France. Let me know how you trip goes,

Sounds fabulous! This really makes me want to go there! Runaround.. did you explore the area at all?? I've read that it's a very beautiful area with hills and vinyards, sort of like tuscany. It it like that where the Abano Grand is located?

Thanks so much! I got very interested in the LL pkg because of the inclusions. Then I got caught up in the idea of just hanging around Padua and the area. Then I found this and now I need to discuss w/Boss when we can go!
Loved the description--aside from the marathon stuff, we have similar interests...
