It is unfortunate more contributors do not share their travel experiences here......there are so many exotic and once-in-a-lifetime trips as well as everyday travels and weekend escapes to write about and celebrate with others!

I absolutely agree within everything said above. So much so that I ,too, can't remember the name of the restaurant that proclaims itself as the winner of the best conch chowder. It is in a small hotel, and there is a rear room with a/c, and a front "room" that spills out onto a poolside area. If you rent a car, you might explore the Blue Hills area, and have lunch at Da Conch Shack, about as authentically local as you can get. In truth, part of the sadness about the T&C is that there is very little local left. Too much of the scene is calculated to remind you of, say, Miami, or what Vegas might think a Caribbean island would be like. But again, in your car, head for the (still?) undeveloped other side of the island. The roads were a bit rough, but your car will get you there and back. You can still find beaches with only gulls and terns. The downside is there are no services whatsoever. Oh, and snubaing with Jodi Taylor is not to be missed. For good experiences on top of the water, there is a Canadian chap whose tour desk is on the beach near the Regent Palms, Pleasant, honest, and srcupulous about hiring reliable crews. A typical small boat tour would include a bit of snorkeling and a free dive for conch which your skipper will prepare while you wander on the beach of an isolated island looking for shells. If you are thinking about going to Provo, go quickly--before the whole place sinks into the sea under the weight of all that concrete.

Hi! we travel a lot and we had every time good holidays with the information of your web-site. we love italy so much. unfortunately in your web-site there are no suggestion about Asolo. Last yeas we stay in Asolo (Venetian area) and we would like to suggest you to insert this area on your web-site. Italy is not just Venice or Rome. Albergo al sole (www.albergoalsole.com) was the name of our hotel and we love it very much! Thanks for everything! Michaela & Roger

We were there 12/28/2007 - 1/4/2008. It was a really good place to stay. The food was particularly terrific. I dove with some friends using Dive St. Vincent which is owned by Bill Tewes. We stayed in Hut 7 right by the pool. OH, the best pizza on the planet is at the Barefoot Yacht Club.

The only problem we had was LIAT airlines and I don't have enough bad things to say about this airline. They stranded us an extra day both coming and going and then lost my wife's bag on the return leg for 4 days. FLY SVG Charter from Barbados. AVOID LIAT if you can. It alsmost spoiled out trip.

Our 6th visit to Punta Islita in November 2007. This time we had the casita with plunge pool. Even though I loved the junior suite with jacuzzi, this room was also lovely. The resort keeps getting better. The biggest change we saw was that the property was even more client service oriented than before. (even though it was great before.) The staff was always trying to meet your needs and give the best possible service. Also, the property is even more connected with the community. They now offer a trip to the village to learn more about the community. In the past, we did this on our own. Great food, location, rooms....highly recommend as in the past!!!

Just stayed at Finca Blanca in November 2007. LOVED IT! We had typically stayed at a "chain" hotel in San Jose twice a year. Glad we found Finca. It is a lovely boutique property in the hills above San Jose. They have just added a few more units alittle bit from the main house. I loved our little casita (junior suite.) Beautiful deck overlooking the lights of San Jose. Amazing food at the property. Fresh, natural, and mostly all grown on premises. Wonderful horse back ride through the terraced gardens of vegetables and coffee beans. Great fun, great location, great service!!!!

The wife and I just spent a gloriously relaxing week at Young Island. The food was outstanding and the service beyond reproach. We stayed in cottage 5 and were a mere 15 feet from where surf meets sand. Very secluded yet there was the opportunity to socialize if you wanted. I will definately miss hearing the surf at night. This will be one that we will have to revisit again and again.

Don't book summer weekends Friday to Monday unless you want to be part of the wedding party. Tuesday-Thursday is your best bet because service is better because you don't have staff doing catering. But when you get timely service...you can't beat this place. It's terrific

We just got back from Seaside Cottage and had a wonderful time! Very relaxing vacation for 4 couples. Round Hill was great and the Seaside staff was very accommodating. The only downside is the 4th bedroom if you are traveling with people who all need comparable accommodations. I hope that we will return to this fabulous place!

I just returned from a 7 night package for Anse Chastanet and it was the best vacation I have experienced in a long time. The food was excellent, the beach and ocean swimming better then expected, the drive to the resort nothing like the posts I had read, just sit up front if you want more wind in your face! Because I was born on 7-7-7 we were upgraded to Jade mountain and it is everything and more. I would return for the exceptional service and the view alone!

I have been to Anse Chastanet 3 times and also stayed at Jade Mountain. Jade Mountain is Jaw dropping, life styles of the rich and famous beautiful! Rooms are 1400sq feet with one wall missing, views of the pitons and the ocean. A lap pool (not a plung pool) in your room. AMAZING! Personally, I would stay a few nights in both resorts Anse Chastanet Premium and Hillside Deluxe rooms are rustic yet beautiful. I love the feeling of being tucked in the trees with beautiful views. Each resort is totally differnt but both are amazing! Enjoy!

Just got back from a magical and perfect honeymoon. Spent four days at Peter Island Resort booking a package through Luxury Link. Everything worked out exactly as promised. We appreciated the prompt airport and ferry taxi pickups and departures. Best way to get there is to fly into Tortola, Beef Island Airport (EIS). Ferry from Road Town, Tortola, to Peter Island was a smooth 15 minute ride. The resort has a very nice ferry terminal on Tortola and we were met by a very gracious attendant. It seemed that our whole vacation experience was met by professional and courteous service from all the staff which seemed to be a signature hallmark of the resort. We stayed at the Ocean View cottages instead of the Beachfront villas (about $300 per night difference). If staying at the Ocean View rooms, ask for an upstairs suite since it has vaulted ceilings and better views of the pool. Check out snorkeling gear at the nearby dive shop, schedule a day at the spa, lounge around the infinity pool and beachfront jacuzzi, ask for the massages and spa treatments at the ocean front bohio's (huts), get lunch delivered, hang out at Deadman's beach, lay in one of the many coconut tree hammocks, check out a hoby cat and see if you can spot a sea turtle in the nearby cove, try your hands at windsurfing, book a private moment at Honeymoon beach, snorkel at White Bay beach, catch a spectacular sunset at the Loop and bring champagne to sip with your cheese plate, book a private candle and moonlit dinner on the beach (lobster's on the menu), and finally, don't miss out on the manager's cocktail party (Pusser's rum punch was the best!) and the wine paring dinner with Dana and Colleen. Matching the resort's staff service were its landscaping, pool, and amenities, all excellent and very upscale. They have Dish satellite cable TV, high-speed internet, and a nice air-conditioned fitness center right on the beach. The bellmen are always available to taxi you around the island, or you can check out one of the mountain bikes. The food was excellent. Since they spray, mosquitoes weren't as much of an problem.

Just came back from our magical and perfect honeymoon. Booked 7 days at Biras through Luxury Link. Everything worked out flawlessly and we were very impressed with the service as promised. From the taxi pickup at the Beef Island Airport to the 30 minute ferry ride from Tortola to Virgin Gorda, everything went smoothly. We stayed in room 14A, private, bedroom about 10 feet from the surf that blissfully serenaded us day and night. The food was among the best that we've ever enjoyed with dinner menus changing daily. The lunch time beach barbecues of grilled meats and fish and tropical produce were a treat. The resort boasts that you can be active or inactive as you wanted, and we appreciated the first three days of rest and relaxation following our wedding. Then we proceeded to take full advantage of the amenities from wind surfing and sailing on the hoby cats at the beach to checking out the Boston whaler dinghies to explore the nearby islands-- Mosquito, Prickly Pear, Eustatia, and Neckers, finding private beaches for picnics and reefs for incredible snorkeling. The abundant sea life was amazing. We saw turtles, rays, barracudas, and numerous tropical fish swimming in the crystal clear turquoise waters. There are two sunken canons to be found in the reef east of Eustatia Island. As a "treasure hunt", see if you can find them. The resort provides bikes with your rooms that allow you to ride around the property. The fitness center was adequate. There is wi-fi internet access. The spa treatments are well worthwhile. The beachfront pool was delightful. One word of caution-- be prepared with mosquito repellent and the highest SPF sunscreen you can get your hands on!

Just back from Young Island and I can't tell you how perfect it was. We couldn't improve on this vacation in any way. Even though I know it will mean more competition for the auctions I just have to praise them. The staff is outstanding. We felt taken care of. We had room #9 and if you don't want steps or don't need a pool or a living room it was perfect, best view of the mainland, breezes and waves laping overnight I will really miss. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can. The food was wonderful, everything was just great!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Punta Islita, it was the most wonderful vacation we have ever been on. The service, accomodations and food are first class. The spa was amazing as well as all of the activities. We are definitely going back to Punta Islita and Costa Rica. We have been to many places and Punta Islita is by far the best so far.

We were on Young Island from April 1-9, 2007, and it truly is a paradise. The food was excellent, the people were wonderful, the accomodations were clean and well maintained. If you can walk steps, I can't recommend highly enough room #30 at the top of the hill. Private plunge pool and pure serenity. And, walking all the steps helps you feel less guilty about all the wonderful food you'll eat, especially the fresh baked bread! We can't wait to go back!
