We only hiked part of the Inca trail on one of our visits to Peru and it was amazing! MP is one of our favorite archaeological sites. Have fun and can not wait to read about it.
Never had much desire to go to Punta Cana but you do make it sound enticing.

katie, I am certain you are having a great time in Peru. I didn't take the time to to the Inca Trail, but I was bowled over with my time at Machu Picchu. Hope you were able to spend a night or two in Cusco. I was impressed with Aranwa's hotel.

Did you happen to include of the O-E properties in this trip?

We booked this auction - we like relaxing and snoozy ;-) Reviews are good and it is not just a yoga resort - yoga lessons are free and optional. We also booked the Jicaro resort in Nica - looks like early 2013 will be a Nica year for us! Looking forward to going since we have never been in this part of Nica

My husband and I were discussing this property last while killing some time in Frankfurt, Germany. I almost had him reeled in when he asked the name...

Whenever I use "wellness" he automatically goes into hiding!!! I'm working on the reviews at tripadvisor. Easy for us to reach w/DL flights and nearby town for not-so-wellness oriented food aand beverage might sway him. I'll post new comment if we buy! Thanks for pointing it out.

This is a beautiful picture! Using B & W makes this picture more dramatic which is the essence of this marvelous museum.

Glad you liked this photo. It was taken on a hike around the Sella Longo (Langkofel) from Ortisei/St. Ulrich in the Dolomites, (former South Tirol), in Northern Italy. The scenery was truly spectacular. What a wonderful area to hike in.

To satisfy your curiosity, this picture was taken in the Grand Paradisio National Park while staying at the Hotel Bellevue in Cogne, Italy. The Grand Paradisio National Park is a natural refuge for Ibexes and Mountain goats and we saw lots and lots of them on our various hikes.
Some of the combats we observed were truly spectacular.
