La Quinta, California
Just returned from an overnight getaway to Washington DC. This was my husband's 50th birthday. He didn't want a party, hoopla, or any type of crowd activity. His idea was for the three of us (him, me, and our Scottish Terrier, Bonnie Joy), to get away. The scenery is magnificent, with the mountains and the lake offering all sorts of things to do, such as golf and hiking in the other seasons.
