Take a powder
First leg of our long trip to South Africa. Cincinnati to Atlanta (night before)
TSA: Do you have something in your bag that looks like mineral makeup--in a cosmetic bag?
kyshel : uh, well, yes; I know exactly where it is so I can take it out for you.
TSA: don't touch the bag, ma'am!!
ksyhel: Ok--the pouch is on the bottom. It's my mother's ashes--I'm taking them to Africa.
TSA: [totally freaking out and jumping back] Ummm, umm, umm--please take them out yourself and put them in this little bin [holding it out as far as her arm could go]
kyshel: no problem
rescanned each item--bag and bin--on our merry way
Next day: ATL/JNB
kyshel to TSA: I've isolated a pouch that contains my mother's ashes, so it can screen separately
TSA: The screener will do an explosives test if he wants (no kidding--that's what she said).
Nothing happened--passed thru no additional anything...
I pick it my stuff.
TSA: Have a nice trip.
