My husband and I had our 37th wedding anniversary at Hotel Punta Islita. We arrived on our anniversary date and asked to have a candlelight dinner on the beach. It was the most romantic evening I have spent. The rooms were very nice with private porches, hot tub, and hammock all overlooking the Ocean. The spa was outstanding. Punta Islita is a first-class operation. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid-back, pampered vacation. A definite adventure worth taking.

Our Hotel Punta Islita experience was a total 'WOW'! While wanting to keep it an insider's secret, I feel compelled to tell everyone about this place - a small resort situated on the Costa Rican jungle coast. Our casita featured a private Jacuzzi overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property and the staff are outstanding. Punta Islita is the ultimate place to relax and get away from it all!

We stayed at Hotel Punta Islita, a small luxury resort in the Nicoya Penninsula on the Pacific Coast. Our arrival was greeted by friendly staff who met us at our car with umbrellas. This was the beginning of the amazing customer service we enjoyed for five days. The service, accommodations and ambience were incredible.

We have stayed at Punta Islita 5 times and just love it. The accommodations are lovely. I recomend the junior suite with jacuzzi (I think it is the honeymoon suite now.) It is very private. The garden bathroom is unique. The food is wonderful whether by the beach or at the top of the hill. I would recommend flying here with Sansa or Travelair vs. trying to drive.

We spent 7 nights at Punta Islita and enjoyed the resort and especially the staff. We are vegetarians and the kitchen staff took especially nice care us at meal time. We used Nature Air to fly out from San Jose www.natureair.com and enjoyed the low level air tour and exciting landing at their local air strip!

I forgot to add about the spa services. The staff is wonderful. I had a massage on the beach in a beautiful location so that I was able to listen and see the ocean. It was incredible. With Punta Islita being so remote, this beach massage seemed so private. I also had a manicure and pedicure (inside location...wouldn't work on the beach even though I thought that would be neat...but a mess!) The fragrances they used such as lavender, chocolate, etc were so calming and soothing. I highly recommend this service to anyone staying at Punta Islita!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Punta Islita, it was the most wonderful vacation we have ever been on. The service, accomodations and food are first class. The spa was amazing as well as all of the activities. We are definitely going back to Punta Islita and Costa Rica. We have been to many places and Punta Islita is by far the best so far.

Our 6th visit to Punta Islita in November 2007. This time we had the casita with plunge pool. Even though I loved the junior suite with jacuzzi, this room was also lovely. The resort keeps getting better. The biggest change we saw was that the property was even more client service oriented than before. (even though it was great before.) The staff was always trying to meet your needs and give the best possible service. Also, the property is even more connected with the community. They now offer a trip to the village to learn more about the community. In the past, we did this on our own. Great food, location, rooms....highly recommend as in the past!!!
