We had purchased packages at the Orient-Express properties in Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and in the Colca Canyon. The welcome was exceptionally warm, the hotels top-notch, and the service a 10. We will be repeat customers!

My boyfriend and I visited Peru and the entire trip was spectacular. Orient-Express hotels provided exceptional service and world-class accommodations. We stayed at the Miraflores Park Hotel, the Hotel Monasterio, and the Sanctuary Lodge. All three hotels had beautiful rooms, outstanding restaurants, and helpful, friendly and English-speaking staff. We also traveled on an Orient-Express luxury train, the Hiram Bingham, which was an unforgettable experience. From now on, Orient-Express hotels and trains will be at the top of my list for worldwide travel.

We traveled to Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu and enjoyed stays at the Miraflores Hotel in Lima, the Hotel Monasterio in Cusco and the Lodge in Machu Picchu. The first two hotels were excellent, both in the rooms provided as well as the service. The Lodge was simpler, in keeping with the surroundings, but with excellent service and a location next to the entrance to Machu Picchu. I am highly satisfied and recommend these hotels without reservation.

Purchased two of the Orient-Express Peru packages at auction and our family of four just returned from nine days in Lima, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Cusco, and Machu Picchu. Incredible!!! The staff at all the hotels were very friendly and provided superlative service. We purchased optional tours from Orient-Express Peru and the guides were fantastic. Use the Orient-Express Peru services to help customize your trip and figure out which flights to, from, and inside Peru will work best. Every travel connection and tour was on time to the second. The meals were fabulous. Hiram Bingham train to/from Machu Picchu is a must - spend the extra money. It's worth it. El Parador del Colca is a unique property. We loved it. Hotel Monasterio was amazing - try to stay there on a Saturday night for the dinner show. The Sanctuary Lodge at Machu Picchu is a great convenience while spending nearly a day and a half exploring the ruins. (Prepare for some hiking.) Most visitors only spend 3-4 hours at Machu Picchu and miss a lot. Or they waste 30+ minutes each way taking a bus up and down from Aguas Caliente where they have to book a lesser hotel than the Sanctuary Lodge. This trip at auction is a real bargain and will be an unforgettable experience. I know this sounds "over the top" in praise, but we have travelled all over the world and Orient-Express is the class act of travel.

We too took this Luxury Link /Orient Express trip. I agree totally with the previous poster. By staying at the Sanctuary Lodge, we were able to easily see the sun rise (on their Summer solstice 12/22/05) over Machu Picchu and when there was a brief shower in the afternoon, we were literally the only people in Machu Picchu. Just us and a few Llamas. The Mira Flores hotel in Lima was magnificent, the Monasterio in Cusco even more so and Colca Canyon was quite the adventure ( on Christmas day 2005 we saw 11 Condors). To this we added on a side trip to Lake Titicaca (with a private boat and guide, also through the orient Express travel agents). It too was amazing. EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE THIS TRIP. IT IS A REMARKABLE VALUE.

Another incredibly satisfied purchaser of this Orient Express package including Lima, Cusco, Colca Canyon and Machu Picchu, and it was such a wonderful trip! The hotels were all magnificent - especially the Monasterio in Cusco. You cannot beat the location of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge and the small Parador del Colco near Colco Canyon was so special.
We added quite a bit using the fine services of Orient Express - the Hiram Bingham Train (excellent) and some great guides and drivers throughout. This was a unforgettable trip and, I agree, excellent value.
