No matter how often we travel, no matter where we go, regardless of the level of luxury accommodations and culinary extravagances available.....

We just feel compelled to find a pizza joint (which is not always easy in some destinations) and dig right into a really well done pie!

Got a chuckle out of this.

Seems like we always end up finding a pizza place for at least one meal whenever and wherever we travel. Pizza and a beer or two just makes for a fun evening.

btw - that's a good looking pizza!

I was going to make Moroccan Chicken tonight, but maybe pizza is in order. I guarantee my gas oven won't get the same results, even with my stone! And I am not grilling in 25 degrees...

The pizza in the photo was from a coal-fired oven. We're into coal-fired or wood-fired pizza....traditional pizza ovens just seem to produce an inferior result (at least to our taste).

There's a little place, which comes to mind, in Cusco called Justina (Calle Palacio 110, Cusco) and they produce a fabulous pizza from their wood-fired oven...it's a short walk from the Hotel Monasterio or the Aranwa Hotel Cusco.

Who does not love a good pizza!

Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize has great pizza - I believe they have the only traditional pizza making oven in the whole country.
