Q: What do you consider the most stunning natural wonder in the world?
A: Tough one - I always have stunning man made wonders and I do not want to pick one that I have not actually visited yet (like the Great Barrier Reef). So...since I have been to the Andes a few times, I would have to say the view of Huaynu Picchu with Machu Pichu spread out below.

Q: Can you recommend a Luxury Link property for fellow nature lovers?
A: Tortuga Lodge in Costa Rica - we did this LL package in March 2012. There are two other properties I have yet to visit, but I have a very good feeling they will be great places for nature nuts like me - Hotel Cuna del Angel in southwest Costa Rica (going in November 2012 & it is very near Corcovado National Park which is considered a nature lover's dream) as well as Jicaro Island Ecolodge in Nicaragua in March 2013.

Q: What are some of your packing essentials for an outdoorsy vacation?
A: Insect repellent (we try and use DEET-free), flashlights, rain poncho, good hiking shoes that can get wet.

Q: How do you like to truly indulge while on vacation?
A: The hubby and I like a good meal. Also, we always look for an activity that involves animal sightings and archaeological sites - we love nature and I love archaeology so we always try to combine these two which is easy to do in Mexico & Latin America. I have been known to frequent the spa (if the lodge or hotel has one) on the last day of the trip - helps to decompress!

Q: What destination (that you have yet to visit), are you hoping to get to soon?
A: Tie between the Galapagos and an African safari.
