This is an amazing city--lots of green spaces, almost mini-forested, with towering structures lit at night to dazzle and entertain...but you can't search for any info online. It's so very very hot and humid; even the shopping centers have minimal air conditioning. Do the hotels not really want to cater to LL package buyers since we are usually paying a lower price and getting perks added on? Has the hotel economy been getting that much better that they think they are going to get many leisure travelers without having to accommodate travelers that use sites like Hotels.com, LL, etc.? I have friends telling me this has been happening to them with Hotels.com and Expedia when they are trying to book a hotel and the hotels web site says there are rooms available.
This has been happening to me with Mexico packages and I am curious to see if others are having this happen with other destinations?
