Anyone Else Consult B4 Flying?
I know the flight deck is usually pretty good about turning on the seat belt light and making an announcement, but we've gotten into a habit of trying to check this site before boarding our flight:

I personally prefer a little "light chop" on evening international flights--rocks me to sleep!!
I don't suppose I could request it on that website?"wherever you go, there you are"

I sometimes check flight weather before I travel - especially in the winter to see if a big snow storm is heading to Philly. I will have to check this site out - you always come up with the interesting web sites - I thought I did a good job of searching out the weird and wonderful internet sites but you have me beat!

11-10-2010, 01:56 PM[email protected] & kyshel....I check the site before every flight....although I don't suffer the classic "fear of flying," I have developed less fondness for the experience over the years....maybe the TSA pre-boarding routines, maybe more crowded cabin conditions, maybe just too many miles.
Checking www.turbulenceforecast.com an hour before heading to an airport does allow me the luxury of adjusting "dosages" to offset predicted unfavorable conditions.
As for coming up with off the beaten path web sites, it more or less conforms to the way we travel as well.
Remember, keep those seat belts fastened, unless it is absolutely necessary to move about the cabin!- Ω -

I usually search for offbeat web sites but I had not thought of searching for sites to check out flight conditions - what would we do without the internet!

12-29-2010, 10:10 AMI bet there are still a lot of folks sitting at airports in New York that wish they had looked at this site and the long range projects at www.weather. com before they made their Christmas trips.
