Re: Auction Pricing
Hi, just to clarify my comment about best buys vs. auctions... I have often seen a BB package that can be purchased for the same price at the hotel's own website (minus the LL fee). However, I have not seen a package for auction where the same package is available on the hotel's website for the price of the opening bid. I think that is what enewseven was saying, but please correct me if I've misunderstood.

Re: Auction Pricing
Hi disneygal,
I have come across some of this too, but as a rule, it is rare, and it never includes the auction offering which are really a very good bargain if you have the flexibility.

Re: Auction Pricing
We have been regularparticipants for more than four years! That said, with the low cost of cellular telephone service these days, we always call the propertyoffered atauction and inquire about their best offers, before we get involved in actually bidding. Only once infour years of active bidding at LL, have we found a property that would match the LL deal. By the way, for whatever the reason, that property no longer appears on LL.
Webelieve LL negotiates very good packages and probablymost properties would not want to jeprodize their on-line exposure and relationship with LL by under cutting prices. The Best Buys offered on LL are a totally different animal! We see no real value in buying Best Buys, since our travel is never time sensitive or urgent.
Just an observation and our personal opinions!
