01-29-2007, 09:40 AMAuction Type Category
Luxury Link has updated and expanded their site over time, but some of the changes have made it difficult for users.
Bring back the auction type filter! In the past, one could click on the type such as "single auction" "dutch" "or the one for the best bid. We are forbidden for seaching auctions at my workplace, so I cannot bid on many of the great packages that happen throughout the day, especially now that many are early in the morning Pacific time. If I could more easily locate the packages that request a best bidder (I am sorry, can't see the actual auction type right now at work!) I would be more inclined to bid on more packages, as I could do it at home atoff peak times.
I hope someone at LuxuryLink agrees with me!

Re: Auction Type Category
Hello,
I hadn't realised that they'd gotten rid of the auction type category function. I also found it useful, so hopefully it will come back!
Here's an idea which may solve your problem -- how about an 'proxy-bid' service like Ebay's? You designate your maximum bid, and Ebay's proxy bidder will automatically increase your bid up to that amount (if someone else bids against you). If you're outbid it sends you an email. This might at least give you a chance at some of the auctions you're interested in.
Cheers,
Julian

Re: Auction Type Category
eilujw...we noticed that option disappeared....we assumed, LL wanted us to comb through as many offers as possible, rather than screening for "Bid Now"....now we arerequired to siftthrough the"Buy Now" offerings as well. We understand the reason for this change (from a sales & marketing position)
