Verify the hotel you are looking forbefore bid. Some of them may stir up difficulties in booking your package. It's very hard to deal with that, and you don't know to whom you ask for help.

Hi C. YOu are correct. You really need to get in touch with the property prior to bidding. If you ever need help or are having resistance from the property, please call LL customer service. They are very intent on making the experience positive!!!

Re: Booking after the auction ends
I wish it was easier for us in the UK to contact the hotels as we are not able to use the free phone numbers etc. I think it probably makes sense to contact the hotel before putting in a bid just to make sure you are 100% sure you are happy to bid and the dates you want are available. I know we could e-mail the hotel direct but if the auction is about to expire then you probably wouldn't get a reply in time before the auction ended. Saying that, I know some poeple, not particularly on L.L, who don't have much luck when it comes to getting replies to their e-mailsfrom some hotels and resorts. Personally, Ii have always had a quick response to any e-mails I have sent to hotels. Maybe I have just been lucky.
