I am new to LL and have a question about how the booking process usually goes. I purchased a buy it now package at a large Mexican resort last week, but my purchase hasn't been confirmed yet. I have received two e-mails from a LL rep saying that the resort "hasn't responded yet." Is this kind of delay normal?

I've had similar issues with just a couple of properties. The worst was the very upscale Langham Hotel Hong Kong. It was frustrating for LL and us.
Mexican resorts work on "manana". You have a phone number on the offer that goes to the property--ask for reservations, give them your LL ticket # and remind them you need your dates confirmed. You can also email the resort that you are still waiting and that you're concerned.
Some of these resorts have live chat on their website, too. Which resort is it?

07-07-2011, 07:21 PMThanks for the advice. LL got it booked before I got a chance to call the resort. It is the Dreams resort in Cancun. It took about 12 days total for LL to book it, but they got it done.

we too are having problems getting a valid confirmation for our dates
This is our first experience with Luxury Link. We have won 4, 5 day auctions for travel to a new resort in Mexico. The first 3 we wanted booked consecutively for us to have a 2 week vacation. The last for my parents for a one week stay. I bought 2 additional nights directly from the hotel to make one week for my parents.
We have purchased our flights as when we talked to the hotel they had plenty of rooms available for our chosen travel dates.
I have been able to talk to wonderful consierges at luxury link who are very kind and polite.....but we are not getting the job done here. I have been sent several un readable e-mails which are just a bunch of computer lingo.
example (font>// xkp3.r4ut1\ border>>//..,). a whole page of nothing usable or readable!
I need to see dates
confirmation numbers
something we can use when we check in
something to show me we are booked for the dates of our flights
Although the agents are very kind, friendly and polite telling me they will take care of everything right away
I have yet to recieve what I need . It has been 2 weeks now and I am getting very anxious.
Can some one please direct me to a contact to help sort this out.

I would contact Ll customer service and the hotel directly - I usually confirm with the hotel that they have the dates open that I want form my auctions and then I do the request through LL. However, if you have an unusual request like splitting the dates for a muti night auction, LL recommends that you ask the resort/hotel directly and then once the hotel confirms your split dates, then let LL know it has been confirmed and they will do the final process

She was also very polite and helpful, as all consirges were and gave us the reservation #s, Id #s verbally over the phone.
I wrote them down and will confirm them with the hotel.
SO NO PROBLEMS HERE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO AN AWSOME STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We got an amazing deal and still were able to apply promo codes to make them unbelievable value!
Thankyou to every one who helped with our booking
Expect to hear from us for all of our future vacations.
